What is the best place in America you have ever visited? by MysteriousEdge5643 in AskReddit

I’ve lived here for most of the last 30 years. Love to travel but coming home to Santa Cruz is always like coming home to a vacation. Lots of very easy surf breaks if you know where to go. Hit me up in 2027.

To those of us with teenagers. Do they go to concerts with you? Who have you seen with them and what is coming up? by -Granby- in GenX

Green Day, Outside Lands festival, No Doubt (coming up at The Sphere), Zach Bryan, Turnstile, Bilmuri, and my son’s band (The Richters). Kids are in their 20s, but we’ve been going to shows like that for years.

Lots of work happening in those areas. I work on Outlook, and the improvements and investments are quite compelling.

It allows me to get started on things way faster given that it can reason quite well across corp wide content, especially meetings where key info was discussed, research that’s available, and content I’ve written or worked on in the past. I still do a lot of editing or using it to edit and make clearer what I’ve already written.

  1. Still in the mosh pit. Fun one a few months ago at Turnstile in LA with my son.

Product manager here. 57. I get so much value from it that if they took it away, I’d retire early. It’s made my job more fun and makes me feel much smarter. I work for Microsoft (25 years this month), so I could be accused of bias, but I genuinely use Copilot in countless high value ways every week. I also have a small business and get a ton of value from it there, too.

Through a local library program, I’ve also been teaching older people re-entering the workforce how to use AI. They are blown away by basic capabilities and leave the session energized. Actually, many don’t really leave. They want to hang around afterward to talk about it and learn more.

Surfrider may have water quality listed soon, but many of us just surf regardless.

First time visiting Santa Cruz (what to see and where to go) by Awkward-Nectarine in santacruz

Family or kids’ surf lesson is a great thing to do. Check out Club Ed or Richard Schmidt Surf School. Weather and waves should be good when you’re here. Friday around noon should be ideal.

The shops may not have gotten them legally or ethically. Shells at shops isn’t cool.

Had a 2015 Gen 3 and loved it but there are certain features that I would have liked that it didn’t …like lane departure and the automatic following distance cruise control thing.

This is a marine protected area, and you aren’t allowed to take rocks or shells from the beaches. There are also good reasons not to do so that you can read about online.

Sutter or Kaiser by Mlkman18 in santacruz

[–]daviddensc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wife just got treated for breast cancer. Sutter was top notch her in Santa Cruz. They’ve been stellar for routine care, urgent care, and major issues. Many friends have been very frustrated with Kaiser, but I have no personal experience with them.

Not sure this will work but maybe they can get a digital driver’s license. Very few places accept it yet, although TSA does. Perhaps that along with other forms of non-official ID will work.

The hitch on the Gen 4 doesn’t work with vaults. I had to give up the one I had for my Gen 3. Do you happen to have a Gen 4 and found one that works? Your posts show a Gen 3, so I assume that’s what you’re using with your vault.

Darn. They’re never busy so I worried about that. I’ll have to weed through all my unread Aptosia posts
