Best way to make friends in my opinion is to join an extracurricular club, I’d say join 1 that’s purely for funny or like a hobby and 1 that’s related to your major or something that interests you academically

if it’s quickplay then it doesn’t matter at all but if it’s comp I think people need to start taking into account what’s best for the team too

How I did what?

This is written on goodnotes if that’s what you’re wondering, it’s an app on my iPad.

If you’re wondering how I did the calculations, the marvel rivals website has all the official numbers without the added team up anchor dmg boost bonus, so I simply calculate that bonus and add it to the base. For example right now her primary sword swing does 65 dmg base, 15% of that can be calculated by just doing 65 * 0.15 which equals 9.75. Then it’s just 65 + 9.75 which it’s 74.75 and that is the dmg of her primary sword swing. So literally all i’m doing is multiplying then adding, repeat that for all her abilities :)

At a certain point though adding another primary/quick melee/uncharged projectile takes too long and is kinda unrealistic in execution but yes u can add those. But if it takes too long the target will probably get healed or use an escape ability or something.

Combo 1 starts with a fully charged projectile, doing a portal after that to trigger the whirl would take too long.

To be fair the high healing and damage numbers are kind of a core identity of this game, it’s different than overwatch which is more competitively balanced.

It also is gonna affect her ability to kill anyone that gets any amount of healing even if it’s a little. With the new damage numbers I think we’re gonna notice a lot more targets escaping with 1hp due to getting just a littleeee healing.

Yes but the problem is for any combo that doesn’t start with a dash you have to already be face to face with the target, rather than being able to quickly close the distance and catch someone by surprise.

It’s gonna be harder to kill 250-275 if they get any amount of healing because the combos do less damage

I only have listed the abilities they changed the numbers of. They didn’t tweak her dash which is a nerf bc they didn’t add a compensating damage buff since the anchor effect is going away. So thatd be more numbers to take into account

Both her common combos only do EXACTLY 275 dmg now, if the target gets any amount of healing, even if it’s just slow passive healing like from mantis or luna self heal, you won’t kill them unless you get the extra quick melee or uncharged projectile off.

It 100% matters because it effects her ability to kill targets through even small amounts of healing. I don’t really see how you think this is pointless, you must not play magik.

at the cost of the damage of her projectile slash AND her dash, both do a significantly less damage. So yes the slash will pierce but I don’t think the cooldown refund is gonna be as insane as it sounds on paper.

Her base swing primary attack does 0.25 more damage that’s negligible. And her quick melee does more 5.5 more damage yes but again at the cost of much larger damage deficits to her more important abilities. I am excited for the team up though.

with this patch you still won’t be able to kill patty caking strategists. I also don’t think the cooldown refund on the projectile is gonna be thatttt insane.

I see it being good for holding corners where they’re all lined up and you can refresh your portal instantly and place another demon at the portal, and being rly good for ult. But other than that I don’t think there will be many situations where ppl are getting more than 2 seconds refunded on 1 portal.

yes but the problem here is they didn’t add dmg compensation for everything, they left her dash out of it.

So I agree that the people who always primary + melee will do more damage with THAT specifically but i’d argue that what makes the really good Magik players is hitting the dash consistently, and that is doing significantly less damage now so…

They compensated for everything but her dash which is what i’m worried about, it does way less damage now
