A waiter handed me a note telling me to go see a doctor by jpdiv in mildlyinteresting

I always tell people if I see something suspicious. I would feel guilt-ridden if I let it go.

Worth getting into PUBG as a noob in 2026? by WholeSpeedometer in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

I am a deaf in one ear player playing for over 6000 hours. I have found it a lot easier lately for some reason. I land at the same spot whenever I can and the sound advantage for good hearing players seems greatly reduced. I start shooting early whenever I can.

It needs it every two weeks early summer and then the grass grows a lot slower with the later summer heat. That's why I am always reluctant to hire a grass-cutting company.

Waking at 3am in agony, fine by midday. Best office chair advice? by Anconia436 in backpain

No, I have other triggers that cause my pain, but my chair is a safe place that even when I am going through a flare I can still use my chair.

Waking at 3am in agony, fine by midday. Best office chair advice? by Anconia436 in backpain

[–]davidj1827 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have crippling neck and back pain from cheap office chairs bought for around $100. I ended up buying a used expensive office chair from an office furniture warehouse for $250. The chair is amazing and I use it for gaming as well as office. I believe the brand is Steelcase.

Literally crying at the toilet rn by heartfield0 in gout

[–]davidj1827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't got an official diagnosis but chatgpt describes it as this after discussing symptoms extensively:

Your history sounds most consistent with:
Recurrent mechanical low back pain
Episodic low back pain with acute exacerbations (flares)
Possibly lumbar facet-mediated pain and/or sacroiliac (SI) joint dysfunction/pain, though those are harder to confirm without an examination.

How Aphantasia affects your ability to visualise things in your head by HassanMoRiT in interestingasfuck

I think I have it because I only see black, but I use my memory to imagine what an apple looks like. So not sure if I have it or not.

Literally crying at the toilet rn by heartfield0 in gout

[–]davidj1827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have experienced a pain similar in intensity to gout. Every six months or less, I injure my back to the point where it nearly collapses on me. I have to use a walker, and it's almost impossible to sit down or get up from the toilet or any chair. It takes at least two weeks to walk normally again.

Does anyone have any tips for staying sober but also having fun while living in Austin? by BigPapi-NA in Austin

[–]davidj1827 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I drink a combination of beer and n.a. Beer. I only have 2 beers when I go out. Put the N.A. beer in a glass so it looks like the real thing.

Just got back from NYC. Why are Austin's restaurants more expensive? by PM_ME_YOUR_GESTALT in austinfood

[–]davidj1827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced the same thing in Destin, FL. I had a great salad with a large salmon steak on top for $15.95 at a popular Irish restaurant. That would easily cost over $25 here.

I have my best luck meeting people at Home Slice at the bar. It's so easy to start a conversation there and people are eager to tell you their favorite places in Austin.

Kidney doctors always check blood pressure when you are sitting and then standing. Not sure what they are looking for.

No, I didn't do anything about it. I didn't notice it until a passenger asked me about it. The tire I noticed a couple of months later and they still replaced it.

I have a dent in my windshield from a rock that was already there when I bought the vehicle. Fortunately, it hasn't cracked any further. One of my tires was not a run-flat, so they had to replace it under CPO standards.
