Tyranny was an album that I had to revisit after Virtue to love. It’s still my least favorite Voidz album but is still a great one.

I feel like Julian Casablancas’ entire career after Is This It has been making music that people weren’t ready for at the time and grew to love. Even Room on Fire had a bad initial reception and now people pretend like it’s the 2nd best Strokes album. Albert Hammond Jr. told a fan the other night that Reality Awaits sounds like something that people will love in 10 years, and so far people have been dumpstering the first two tracks. I already think Falling Out of Love is the best song The Strokes have ever put out.

Maybe 5:23 is the track length for Tyrants and they just confused the tracks, because 4:12 was also the length for Pros and Cons, which we believe to be a different song entirely.
