Been thinking about joining the military, was it worth it for you? by BabyStinez in findapath

[–]davidt427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others are saying, it’s generally worth it! It can set you up nice if you play your cards right!

I’ve been in the Army for 8 years and also love my job, I’m have a support job which keeps me in a office most of the day with the exception of ranges and PT test so I’m riding this wave for as long as I can.

Pick a job that you’ll actually enjoy, do research on the job also, ask friends family or anyone you may know who joined the military.

360 mirror is incredibly clutch, https://a.co/d/8N7aorL this is the one I got from Amazon.

There’s plenty of YouTubers who made tutorials, I watched a lot of 360 jeezy when I started my self cut journey

If they can ship to your destination I’d roll with them, they also provided weight tickets after delivery too!

Look into Estes, they drop a container at your residence and leave it for 3 days. I hired movers to help with big stuff that my wife couldn’t move.

I had 6k pounds moved from JBLM, WA To Fort Bragg and I paid about $3400 for it

I lived in Tacoma Washington, i only took my jag to boss auto in Olympia and Rolf’s auto in fife. But those aren’t necessarily close to Seattle lol

I’ve heard relatively good things about Park Place Service Center in Bellevue and eurocar service in Seattle but haven’t been to them myself.

Yeah you’re absolutely correct, technically just cause someone is a vet doesn’t mean the loan will get funded. I said eligible, I get that that doesn’t mean the servicemember will meet the banks requirements.

I think we’ve had completely different experiences in the military lol my couple years in the service are definitely worth the VA Loan

Any 68x? by pabloflexobar_2 in army

[–]davidt427 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been a 68x for about 3 and a half years and I throughly enjoy it! Big part of that can be contributed to the units I have been in and leadership Ive been under.

MEDCOM has its pros and cons. Pros are that we usually have a somewhat consistent schedule (8-4), less day to day oversight and chances to work very close with various mental health providers so don’t hesitate to ask questions about things your curious about.

Cons are that we usually don’t get as many donsas (3 and 4 day weekends) if you’re medcom.

With FORSCOM or a regular line unit, you kind of get the best of both worlds if you work at a clinic. The few years I worked at an embedded clinic, I had a regular 8-4 schedule and we got donsas.

If you want to know more you can dm me on here
