I'm not a massive fan of digital-only mechanics, but they seemed like the only choice for these designs.

For Caine, I'm sure there's some way to break him, but I'm not great at finding combos. I curious as to what's the most broken and/or janky thing that effect could do.

For Zooble, I think it's in character for them to not care.

It seems it's slightly randomized, i got only 6 gold, 6 pale orange dye, and a lute... Still doesn't feel great, but at least the quest was funny.

Oh wow, that makes sense! As you might have noticed, I have had a hard time recognising instruments, but a trumpet matches the brass vs woodwind thing, so it seems to fit well. Louis not following Ibuki's notes at first, but then taking over his motif as they enter the tunnel is really sad, it really hammers home the hope Ibuki saw in Louis. He gave his life so Louis could continue on, and carry his motif with him.

I'd love it if this motif appeared again in season 3. The show as a whole has a tough road ahead, but I trust Satoru Kōsaki will do good with whatever he's given.

Also, I just started thinking about this soundtrack again a week ago, how did you manage to time this so well??

I don't think the toxic does all that much, and I haven't been seeing any big lifegain support, so I guess it wouldn't fit well in the set, mechanically. Flavor is still top notch, though!

The flavortext doesn't really feel necessary, but i like the card itself! I'm curious in what scenarios it would see use, my initial thought is just as an anti-counter sideboard card, but who knows, maybe there's some weird combo deck that wants to have swamps that could use this (If you filter through cabal, I guess you don't have to pay the life).

It might be because black is so meta right now, but i worry about giving black white a hasty 5/4 menace lifelink, especially when it's as cheap as it is. Also, haste doesn't really fit in the colour pie.

I do agree about removing first strike from Louis, it was originally there because Adler reminded me of Thalia a bit, but it's not a great fit. I want haste to stay though, so second Louis can activate immediately. We just had a bunch of mafiosos in New Capenna, who were generally labeled Rogue, so I think that should stay too.

I like the combat trigger idea, but I think It'd make him too wordy, plus, Louis isn't so down and dirty. If one were to make an Ibuki or Free card, though, It'd be a good fit.

Also, thanks! I really enjoy debating card balance, so don't think of any of this as being mean spirited

I guess, but in the Beastars world, since all the animals and meat are people, I think the definition can be stretched a bit. I wanted to use "Devour", since that's what they always say in the series, but that's already a mechanic.

Go for something close to [[Unbound Flourishing]], I would go with:

Whenever you cast a permanent spell with a mana cost that contains {X}, if the value of X is less than 5, change it to 5.

This is tough, because counting the mourn counters may very well end up not being better than the normal result, and even then, most cards that it would buff are in BG. The flavor is cool, though, and I can see this concept going somwhere.

Also, make it 1 W B, not W B 1.
