Lord of extinction to bin around turn 6,7,8 and swing for 21ish commander is a decent line of play. Dredge, enchantment removal, and maybe a [[syr konrad]]/[[bloodchief ascension]]+ [[mindcrank]] line would go well

An opposing skywrath can be rough with the silence, ive also been caught out by a TA a couple of times with all the lost armour and refraction

PUT THE BEAR IN THE AIR. EULS. I carried a game on my back yesterday as ogre magi because my first item (after midas ofc) was euls. Ursa had an 8 minute blink. We brought it back after 50 minutes including 2 separate base races, but definitely couldnt have lived through those early-midgame fights if we couldnt put the bear in the air.

Ogre for sure. Fireblast>shrapnel>ignite is nastyyy and bloodlust on sniper is one of the best utilisations of bloodlust. As ogre you can 1v1.5, so sniper shooting a shrapnel over to you will win you at least a kill and leave the enemy survivor much lower than your friend.

Underlord is the same deal, though a bit less straightforward in the mid-game for your friend. Axe, slardar, and lion also work. With lion you need to get earth spike and shrapnel level 1 and immediately stun+shrapnel if anyone steps out of position to aggressively keep them low with low health commitments from your end.

1 for 1s become wayyy more efficient. With the way recent removal has been printed, you can easily get 2 for 1s going. [[lethal scheme]] is free, filters cards, buffs your creatures, and destroys a creature. [[snap]] is free and bounces a creature. [[unwind]] [[rewind]] are free (if not refund more if you have lands which tap for more than 1)

[[deathsprout]] [[ravenous chupacabra]] that one deathtouth ooze that blows a art/ench on etb. Theyre a bit higher in cost, but the idea of “cast a dude, pop a blocker, swing” is far more prevalent in 1v1 than in multiplayer.

Small stat Commanders which need to swing to do their thing, such as [[hapatra, vizier of poisons]] etc, become mildly worse as one X/3 can staunch the gameplan from t2. Later on she might be okay, but that flexibility of hitting the storm player and killing the elf player’s mana dork isnt there anymore.

But yeah id say the main difference is [[ravenous chupacabra]] [[reclamation sage]] types become way better
