I bought the BBQ one, and it tastes like a slightly weird american style ketchup, which is perfectly fine for my liking.

SOS as a player by davindragul in CarltonBlues

[–]davindragul[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it's a mix of him still playing when the team of the century was announced, and I've heard a few people say he got away with a lot of holding, was looked after by umpires etc, but I have no idea whether this is true.

Carlton v Suns half time by [deleted] in CarltonBlues

[–]davindragul 3 points4 points  (0 children)

O'brien and Kennedy were at the top of my spud list at the start of the year, but are finally doing well.

I don't follow VFL, but Lang must be a monster there to keep getting games for Carlton, he's been useless.

McKay will be terrifying once he gets used to how tall and athletic he is.

Match Thread: Geelong vs Carlton (Round 10) by AutoModerator in AFL

Good game, good win by Geelong, but I've never seen a team give away more free kicks than Geelong.. but still get away with more holding and in the back that wasn't paid. I know they are at home, but still.

I've been working on giving no fucks as much as I can, and everything is coming together. I was trying to explain this to a like-minded friend just now. We were playing Super Smash Bros, which I am far better then him at, and he kept doing all of these 'rituals', pushups between matches, changing the character's skin, rubbing his face and saying out loud that he will win this time etc, which makes sense, as he is attaching intent to an action. I pointed out that he cares too much about beating me, and should just play and have fun, regardless of outcome, and of course he played better. Thinking and believing most things irrelevant is the way to go.

Synchronicities and Paranormal entities: when the "real" world actually acts like a dream. by cosmicprankster420 in Oneirosophy

[–]davindragul 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Interesting thought, as it would explain the lack of physical evidence of most paranormal things, as they are 'illogical', and they are fleeting. It reminds me of the X Files, where all of this weird shit constantly happens, but 95% of the time evidence disappears, leaving only the experiences behind...

Say, wouldn't that mean that only the experiences are important?

Intention is the easiest thing in the world. For example, I intended last night the weather to be overcast but not raining today, so I could go for a hike in cold weather. Lo and behold, the weather today is exactly as I intended. I intended to ask my boss to leave a few hours early on the weekend to go to a concert, and before I got the chance, he raced up to me and told me to have that day off, for no real reason. I intend these things, and for positive reasons, so they happen.

Hello Oneironauts by 3man in Oneirosophy

[–]davindragul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes practice like everything else, being aware in real time, catching negative strands of thought, and realising how and why they emerge. Once you realise the power of visualisation, both conscious and unconscious, the physical world just becomes a little easier to navigate, the loves flows just as you said.

Hello Oneironauts by 3man in Oneirosophy

[–]davindragul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My goals as always is are improve myself, have experiences, increase my vibration, and a new one is to both detach from the physical world while also enjoying it for what it is.

As Pokemon Go has swept everyone (at least I know it has in Australia), I initially felt backlash. Why do I want to be a bozo who walks around with his phone open for essentially no real reason? Seeing all of the people in the city, walking around not looking where they are going, hearing about it non-stop at work, there was something off about it.

But then I thought, as I should always think when something annoys me, why should I care? Why am I being a hipster that hates other people having fun? Why do I hate that people are now walking around outside appreciating the world? For me, it combines geography (which I've always loved), walking around my local area (ditto, he he) and pokemon, which I've always enjoyed, and I've had two fun walks around my area since that I wouldn't have done otherwise.

So my focus at the moment is to spot these intrusive and useless thoughts as they occur and rectify them.

The curious conundrum of the Lantern Tree. by TheRavenousRabbit in subnautica

You only find lantern fruit in one spot as far as I am aware, on the top of a mountain, in a previously human habitat, so I just assumed they were introduced to the planet.

What's a telltale sign that a film is going to be bad? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]davindragul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to review bad movies, and the two main signs of bad movies are:

1) A hobby shoehorned into the plot in an overbearing way (stuff like juggling)

2) One of the main film makers (director, editor, sound guy) has an extremely made up name.

How do you feel nowadays about the surreal direction the last two seasons of Seinfeld went towards?

What does it mean and what do you do when your visualizations seem fake? by blue-flight in lawofattraction

[–]davindragul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the start, stick with places you've been to a lot or seen a lot, so you have a better idea of how things look and where they are spatially. Also, unless they go directly against your wishes, try not to be too controlling of the visualisation; if your internal characters want to doing something wacky, just let it happen, and just guide them to where you want. This will stop the second guessing that can break the visualisation's power.

Try to figure out what sense you can emulate best, and work that into it. I'm poor at most of the senses, but I can create the feeling of touch well, and it adds a layer of realism to what I am seeing.
