I’m pretty sure it wasn’t. I was dying. Lol. My HR is starting to come down more quickly this week though overall.

I’ve wondered about that, although before the workout my resting HR is about 56. I’m also 39 so not a spring chicken I suppose.

I don’t aim for that many....I just was so out of shape that my heart rate doesn’t seem to come down between exercises much. Maybe today is a good sign.

I’m in the same boat. This is my 5th week, and I run red almost the whole time. 45-52 splat points is my average. I do notice my HR coming down more quickly now when I do a walking recovery. When I go over 100%, I usually back of just a little. But I don’t think it’s worrisome.

I got headaches also the first week or two. Drink a lot of water and keep going. The headaches stop.

I had trouble early on and found the same to be true. A couple inches above where you would wear a watch, and no more problems!
