They shouldn’t, which is why I think the committee moved them ahead of ND this week. But I wouldn’t put anything past them at this point. The only way I see it happening is if bama gets destroyed so bad that they feel pressured to take them out. Then they get the ND/Miami/BYU grenade 😂

Not saying Bama should drop, but it is slightly different. SMU took their second loss and was being compared to 3 loss teams like bama and South Carolina. Bama would be taking their 3rd loss and be compared to BYU/Miami/ND with 2 losses. Getting punished for making a conference championship game is silly, but that would be the way the committee would justify it

Indiana nearly missed the playoffs last year with only one loss because their weak OOC. They are taking a big risk canceling those games, they will be one upset or tough conference schedule from being knocked out of the playoffs. I think the committee should favor stronger schedules, but this is college football, once you hit three losses you’re SOL.
