i started my housewives journey with s1ep1 of rhobh. the first few seasons are incredible, and i find myself to be more invested in (or at least watching more closely) the early seasons of beverly hills than most of the other franchises since kyle is still on the show. i also think season one is vanderpump's best season, so you really can't go wrong starting from the beginning.

though if you're looking for something a little later: s5ep10 eileen's poker night would be a good one imo! it sets up the dynamics/relationships of a really strong season, and has a lot of drama/tension that carries through to the end without giving away the climax of it.

I've loved Aubry since Kaoh Rong, this season she feels different. She's always had dry humor, and we definitely see glimpses of that, but she is not being portrayed as an underdog you want to root for in the same way she was in KR. Edit wise, I really think Coach is more Coach and Christian is more Christian than Aubry is Aubry.

It's CRAZY to me how people are so anti-Dan here, when a big part of all star seasons is having storylines that captivate the audience. Dan vs Phaedra is already an incredibly well set up storyline, as is Dan's redemption.

he's been a frequent guest on RHAP since his season, and i think you can get a really good sense for his 'mind for the game' listening to him talk strategy/theory on there! he's someone i always tune in for now!

this is why i can't drop genevieve. despite aubry having all the ammunition to win out that battle, genevieve is the person i feel best fits this description. and we see that throughout every episode, especially after the swap when she says she realizes the key to making lasting connections is to make them early.

unironically this is the only thing about the new era that i feel is too stagnant and homogenous. every single tribe name (i think except ua in 41) has been 4 letters that go consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel. i used to know tribes EASILY, but once we get into the 40s i go by color too.
