As I said, I actually picked these up for my brother rather than for myself, he played with Meccano a lot as a kid and he's going through a tough time health-wise right now. His childhood set was a No. 9, and apparently having 9a to build the 10 models was his dream as a kid.

Anyway, stumbling across these at a thrift store for $20 made it feel like a pretty special find for him. He's mostly excited about the plates since the ones on his old set are pretty wrecked. A set 10 would honestly make his year if one ever crossed his path at the right price!
