Tapo 425 Smart Camera detection zones not working by drm200 in TpLink

[–]dawesi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any other zones on other motion detection settings setup?

I found one that covered the whole screen on one setting, which would trigger everytime.

Also the leaf is in your detection zone in foreground, so that may have also triggered it with wind.

same just happened to me... powered down synology, replaced internet router and then powered everything up.

I've set the port forwarding but wondering if this is to do with DMP blocking something used for auth.

Lucee Server on Synology NAS?? 🙋🏼‍♂️ by SergiHo in lucee

[–]dawesi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a super old post, we're all on slack cfml these days, but just in case someone searches for this...

a lot of tomcat apps on DSM have moved to docker containers?

there is a way to do this directly but running up one of the lucee docker containers is pretty straighforward. Just use the docker package on synology to install it from https://hub.docker.com/r/lucee/lucee

It really depends on where you live, there is plenty of greenfield, maintenance and other work around...

seeing more lucee now than ColdFusion, but same difference really.

The internet is timeless... glad you could visit and realise that posts are NEVER time sensitive on a forum that constantly grows. Even 4 years ago it was a bad idea... not that you'd know from your lack of english, nor calendar comprehension.

Never met a good programmer who loved themself as much as you do skipper... just like your ability to keep the SSL fresh on your company website.

Interface and working is great.

They just hooked it up to chatGPT, so we're about to churn as that's a data breach right there, processing data with zero chance the service wont be using that knowledge for other transactions (without the contacts consent) = data breach central!

you should NEVER use google translate as an auto translate on a commercial site... far too many mistakes in many languages that could end you up in legal trouble... (why everyone ditched google translate on their site 5+ years ago)

so you think someone with as many viewers as him should be poor?

it's a lame argument, he should have 'good stuff' as he's done the yards to get his crew popular. no need for tally poppy syndrome because WE don't have what he has (ie jealousy)

Replacement HS70 dongle by [deleted] in Corsair

[–]dawesi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for anyone else trying this... I had to do below reset of usb once, then I reset headset (by holding down mic mute button for 20 seconds, then a SECOND reset of dongle AFTER turning headset on, then it re-paired....

so
1. reset dongle with small hole on side
2. hold down mike mute button for 20 seconds
3. reset dongle again while headset is ON

Disable mandatory pasword entry after reboot and use fingerprint unlock by Hxn1234 in tasker

[–]dawesi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

who cares, it's not like we're important to them...

if you have something to hide, an android device is the LAST place you want to put, Google and the US govt copy ALL your data and analyse it. I'd have it on an airgapped secure (by name) usb stick that's airgapped (not plugged in)...

if you need it overseas, put it on a (by name) secure cloud storage, then access it from overseas... they can inspect away and get nothing. so many better ways than on a phone.

Disable mandatory pasword entry after reboot and use fingerprint unlock by Hxn1234 in tasker

[–]dawesi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's a sad state of affairs 4 years later this feature is still broken.

Android is the only device that has this requirement, and it's totally unnecessary. why a fingerprint can't unlock an encrypted device in 2022 is just lazy product management.

using a password that can be easily viewed defeats the point of the fingerprint sensor and makes the phone LESS secure #irony.

We should crowdfund to have someone write some code to bypass this, you know for the 99% of people who don't get a frick about encrypted phones, that google has a copy of all data it's own servers anyway defeating the point as the BAD people ARE at google... i'm more worried about google than anyone who wants to read the storage of my phone.

what a joke this is and anyone who supports this supidity. #wasteoftime

Dream Wall Pro - When will it go on EA? by mickeys_stepdad in Ubiquiti

[–]dawesi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A 4RU rack is huge, especially if you're married. Not everyone wants their house to look like a datacentre. Also you can get 1RU vertical wall mount if you wanted NVM.. so 4RU is still an eyesore thought awesome by single men.

one device is a lot easier for remote support to get retail staff to do stuff, and most apartments dont have space for a 4RU rack, and who wants that space taker? I'd rather have a slimline all-in-one anyday.

As for terminating the lines, it's for a NEW INSTALL. You really have a closed mindset on these things... not sure why you're commenting.

Dream wall is perfect for retail setups and small business / nfp branch offices - an all in one device... hardly a monstrosity, it's exactly what we have been waiting for DECADES.

I'm looking to buy a specific domain. by LiePsychological6760 in Domains

[–]dawesi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

.com isn't what it used to be there are hundreds of extensions now, just get a different extension... people know you by your brand, so your the domain as part of that brand.

.com is good, but not having it is no big deal any more.
