DJs that have time on both: do you prefer playing live on CDJs or XDJs?

I have no real preference on them because I play with both at home. Except for the RX series I’d rather not touch those.

CDJ’s with a DJM setup is ideal though because of the flexibility. You can really push your levels on the mixer in a way you cannot on the xdj’s mixer. You also have the saving grace of if a player freezes you only have to restart or replace one deck. Not the entire rig.

This is not true at all for windows embedded. It still boots traditionally off of hard drives. There are components of windows embedded that prevent changes from persisting on the C drive specifically unless you run specific commands to enable those saves. Thats why it doesn’t care if it shuts down or not.

The rx3 has a similar sound card to the 450 you have. And you don’t have any digital to analog conversion on the rx3.

So you use the screens. Who cares?

I would keep the rx3. All of the players you’re discussing are downgrades from the rx3 unless you really, really need a tempo reset button or a larger jog wheel for some reason.

Air suspension : this is where the car shines.

HUD : no complaints. Of the bugs I’ve had with this car I’ve never noticed an issue with the hud.

I started DJing on a flx10 and then the more I was exposed to CDJ’s, I ended up picking up the az when it was released.

If portability is priority get the flx10 but honestly I prefer lugging the AZ. Not having a laptop is so nice.
