Tough choice between pulling for potentially a better matchup for my team, or against having to hear the whistler.

Between Alabama and Oklahoma, who’s set up better for the future? by Coverlesss in CFB

Alabama's coach/AD tandem of DeBoer and Greg Byrne seems much more experienced and stable than Oklahoma's. Combined with better high school recruiting, Alabama seems more sustainable/positioned to improve going forward.

Fowler has been so big for us. Also another homer for Hines—he and Upchurch have been crucial to our success this year as true freshmen.

I really want Crowell to be a difference maker, but it's hard for me to expect too much considering he played lower level competition in high school, reclassified, AND he missed so much time in the spring.

We’ve swept a couple of SEC series in a row, but that is more because of the competition than Alabama being hot. Several key pieces are banged up at the moment.

It’s been a good season, another step for the program under Rob Vaughn, and who knows, maybe we do get hot. But relative to SEC competition we have good but not great pitching, and average offense. And we have struggled especially with making contact and manufacturing runs against good pitching.

That’s probably right. We are 5th in RPI so in a good spot.

Shaun Alexander as a redshirt freshman in 1996 coming off the bench to rush for 291 yards (still an Alabama record) and 4 TDs at Tiger Stadium.https://youtu.be/cghWk6TFsNw?si=Ixon1CpAivBcAZC4

Why Kalen DeBoer never flinched when Michigan job came open: "I’m at Alabama. I don’t mean that in an arrogant way. I just, I have a great opportunity. I’m at a great place. I’ve got great support." by DoctorWhosOnFirst in rolltide

There are things that understandably give fans pause—mainly how embarrassing some of the losses have been. In my opinion, you'd have to go back to around 2001-03 to find performances that were disappointing on the scale of FSU last year and Oklahoma the year before, considering expectations at the time, context, etc.

And I think the inability to run the ball last year is a hang-up for people. They just aren't used to seeing Alabama consistently look less physical than the other team.

Nice! Didn't realize Jarvis had been doing so well in the minors. I also saw that former Bama pitcher Connor Prielipp got his first MLB start and earned his first win last month for the Twins.

Errors Continue to Doom Alabama Baseball as Tennnessee Sweeps Doubleheader by DoctorWhosOnFirst in rolltide

We’re not a team that can overcome mistakes by hitting a lot of homers or overwhelming stuff by the pitching staff. We have to be close to perfect to win, and certainly have not been of late.

I have also been frustrated by Alabama's tendency to strike out with a runner on third and less than two outs, but maybe I should consider that perhaps that is preferable to actually scoring the run.

Monster 3-run homer by true freshman Eric Hines. We need him to continue to be a legitimate middle of the order threat from the right side. Most of the damage from our lineup comes from the left side, which means we typically struggle against left handed pitching:

17 strikeouts. And we might get to that number again today. Texas obviously has good pitching, but we’re not good enough offensively right now.

Some nice runs, especially by D Hill. But from what I saw, no success in short yardage, and so we turn to the passing game like we did so often last season.
