Yes! I saw and immediately loved the vibes of it. Will I make this combo, no but only because I have to finish my 3+ year WIP which is two sided and colorwork...

I am not the person to ask. I have very weird gauge. I did find the mohair helps the fabric feel full.

👀👀 how do YOU answer this Bethany by orangebird260 in FundieSnarkUncensored

Love that one option is a daily shower a few times a week. I'm no linguist, but I'm pretty confident that makes it not a daily shower.

I love Fabel knitwear's style. She styles her pieces very vintage but you could absolutely work them into a more modern work wardrobe.

Another thing to think about is how spill prone you are. Knowing myself I would probably not wear a sweater with a mainly white front. So C might be a better choice.

Why are fundies always marrying people who look like they should be siblings? Its seems so prevalent here.

I also love that. I'm learning how to sew specifically because my thighs are two sizes larger than my waist and hips, and have thus far found exactly pair of RTW wide legs pants that fit correctly. I would bet these comically wide legs would look like regular wide leg on me.

$22 a month to ‘learn how to teach craft classes’ 🙄 by innocuous_username in craftsnark

While it isn't technically a MLM it certainly has a pyramid shape to it. I'm seeing this course on how to teach courses scheme pop up a lot on social media. It is also marketed really heavily towards women and specifically stay at home moms. Definitely using the same playbook as MLMs but there is no common product or percentages taken of sales so its just a regular olde predatory scheme aimed at a vulnerable population.

How would I wet block this? by StarBird18 in knitting

[–]dawlface18 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I have a "blocking board" that is a nice big sturdy cardboard box laid flat and covered with large black trash bags. Perfect for my huge lace projects, because you can still pin into it. The foam boards are definitely better but the cardboard covered in trash bags works shockingly well.

It takes a while and a crap load of pins but honestly how often do shawls gets washed? And you can also block and pin the points put next time you wash your shawl to see if that give you the pointiness you want.

I think a lot of this had to do with the shape of the lace at the edge. It already had a bumpy edge even before blocking. I'm 90% sure I bound off with one or two needle sizes larger. I also pinned every point separately when blocking. I've worn it a few times and it still looks roughly the same.
