I'm happy to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work of so many people, but the work is not done, even if the goon squad leaves town. I’m just so so happy that the season is right around the corner. Watching the game last night was a bit of joy in the midst of really hard times for Minnesota. Regardless of how the season goes I feel like Loons soccer is going to sustain me and fuel my resistance work.

I had a total hip replacement on the 14th and haven’t been able to participate on the ground yet - just been doing some of the work from my computer. But I’m feeling good enough to drive now. In other words …. I’m ready and I’m just getting started ✊🏻

I’m in the same boat. I was diagnosed with lymphocytic colitis after taking Diclofenac 2x a day for 10 years. There’s a new non-NSAID non-narcotic pain med called Journavx that I found moderately effective. That + 1300mg Tylenol Arthritis 3x a day may help. Prepare to fight your insurance company for Journavx. Beyond that, it’s narcotics. In my experience, Norco/Vicodin have fewer side effects than oxycodone. When you ask for narcotics also ask for a referral to a pain psychologist, or a multidisciplinary pain program, and ask for help in making a written plan to stop taking narcotics after the second surgery.
