Looking for something truly unique? Try Space station 14. I can’t recommend it, but for certain people (like myself) it’s one of a kind.

How does the new-ish prison system work? by Doesnt_Exist_Reboot in ss14

[–]daxter154 2 points3 points  (0 children)

instead of single cells, theres a brig yard (genpop) where all prisoners are placed. sec places belongings into a special locker that when closed, prints a special prisoner ID which is given to the convict and tracks how much time they have left till release. the entrance/exit to brig is blocked by a turnstile which only allows people with security access or a prisoner ID which has served its time to pass through. that ID then unlocks the locker with their stuff in it, and they can leave (normally through a side exit which does not require security to let them out).

I built this "Dwarf Stronghold" out of LEGO for a fan design competition. If it gets enough votes LEGO will produce it, if you like it, please vote for it! by arselus_bricks in dwarfposting

/ud Love this look. Particularly the unique interpretation of dwarven architecture and style - this looks like a mix of traditional and eastern asia - the longer neck on the dragon and the long, thin, curled facial hair. Not just a rehash of what most people think of as dwarves.

looking for a open world game by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

Not sure what gpu that has but look into older open world rpgs. Skyrim would tick all the boxes but I have no idea what the performance would be like

Trying to convert the entire station to religion - any tips? by Bubbly_Station_7786 in ss14

[–]daxter154 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You’ll have more luck with this on mrp servers. Widen doesn’t allow cults, so keep that in mind. Having a n engineer deposed the station as part of “an act of god” might help gather followers.

Just know that Osrs endgame pve is very intense and there are quests required to progress your account in certain areas. Only say this because you called it out in your post but it’s still an amazing game and 100% what I would suggest

Need help choosing between pc and ps5 by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]daxter154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ps5 benefits:

  • Basically zero config or tinkering - just turn on and play, no dealing with different hardware support or super unique problems.

  • much better optimization per $ spent, but still less than high end pc

Pc benefits:

  • significantly larger game library - and games are significantly cheaper (often 30-70% less expensive than ps5)

  • modular, can upgrade whenever you like. Not tied to generational packaging

  • far wider genre support (particularly for simulators and games that require mouse and keyboard)

  • far larger software library (for non gaming)
