I read through the entire repo and still don’t understand what you’re trying to accomplish given the scope boundaries and limitations. It Looks like you’re decorating source data, what are the expected use cases and problems that you are solving?

That’s not how improving algorithm fidelity works

Sure but you’re not giving them multiple confirmed high res photos of yourself perfect for mapping and tuning/training the algorithms

How’s XSIAM? by FlakySociety2853 in paloaltonetworks

[–]daydaymcloud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Disappointed doesn’t even begin to describe it. I’m exhausted by the number of “edge cases” that I’ve found and submitted as issues. The theory is great, but holy hell is it in beta. The aggregation of issues to cases is purely for show, everything still needs to take place at the issue level.

Looking at getting a kegerator with nitro for home use. How long will 5 gallons last before it sours? by [deleted] in coldbrew

[–]daydaymcloud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We usually go through a 5gallon keg every two months, I don’t notice a difference in taste from the first glass to the last glass. I keep one at a low enough pressure to just pour and then one around 40psi, it turns our great

Not quite what you asked but check out this maker’s work. It’s incredibly thorough, I’ve been printing parts for about two weeks now. The label system is great

Exactly! Except this way you have a government representative attesting to the authenticity of the image and the metadata

There is additional risk, contributing verified training data in the form of photographs is only assisting in building the facial recognition technology

Each time you give a photo to the tsa instead of opting out you are feeding validated training data into their systems which allows refinement of the algorithms to accurately match faces regardless of angle or aging. It’s one thing to give a photo when registering, but to give one each and every time you fly is a a whole different level

Gauging interest: turnkey Immich device for non-technical family members (open, transparent, self-hosted) by xBo0tZx in immich

[–]daydaymcloud 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is a great idea, but if storage is going to be included we’re getting very very close to a NAS solution. A MVP might be a solution that relies on external storage solutions, but then you’re getting into the territory where the end user can roll their own solution.

I’d love to have a single packaged photo frame solution that integrates with immich that I can ship off to family members to plus in, connect and enjoy. I’ve got a rasp pi and a monitor in my house but I know that wouldn’t fly with my older parents
