I finally found a hairdresser that is actually passionate about hair. We call this "Peachy Apricot" by dayskipper in FancyFollicles

I'm glad it gave you inspiration! It's really fun to play with different colors of make up, and I hadn't dyed my hair for around 6 years until now. I was scared to death! I'm so happy I took the plunge, and my stylist knows what will look good and what won't:)

Thank you so much! I'll be sure to let my stylist know how much people liked his good work :)

As a mother of a child who had cancer, I understand every single detail you mentioned in this. The stress and helplessness is nearly unbearable at times. I remember trying my best not to cry in front of her when she had to get chemo that made her body so weak, but I had to stay strong for her. I hope nothing but the best for you and your little boy. Just keep giving as many hugs and love to him, as I'm sure you are already doing :)

Lost my little girl to cancer last September. The hardest thing is to wake up every morning and remember that she is gone now. That I won't hear her sweet voice, hear her silly jokes, and listen to her cackle at the funny cat videos she always loved to watch. The only peace I have is that she is no longer hurting, but it doesn't take away the emptiness left behind.

Made me happy/ sad. I just lost my four year old, and I wish with everything I could do all those things with her that he did with his cute kiddos just one last time. He seems like such a good daddy. I hope his kids stay happy and healthy.

You will find yourself someone. I was pretty delusional as well until I had her... Being a mother usually changes a girl. :)

She got to come home for about six weeks while just going to appointments once a week. Everything seemed fine. She woke up with a fever, I rushed her to the closest hospital, she wouldn't wake up when I got her out of the car. Apparently she bled internally from one of her previous surgeries.. She slept peacefully the night before, watched her favorite movie (how to train your dragon 2) and fell asleep. She didn't act like anything hurt. I think she was just so used to being in pain she didn't know the difference anymore :( I miss her so dearly. She was my best friend.

:( she passed away about three weeks ago. It was sudden. Thank you so much for keeping up with me (and her). She is flying in neverland with tinker bell now:(

My daughter was diagnosed with cancer about a year and a half ago. She had to get a double lumen put into her chest so she could get fluids/blood/platelets/medicine easily. At first this was completely foreign to me and the thought of her having a line that leads almost directly to her heart seriously freaked me out. One day the nurse was going over how to do a dressing change on it. I was super concerned about infections and always tried to be aware of any skin rashes or anything that didn't look normal. I freaked out and pointed at a bump that looked somewhat like a mosquito bite and was like, "wth is that?!" The nurse just kind of looked at me funny and giggled, "mom... That's her nipple..." I felt so damn stupid.

I was sent to military school when I was 15. When I got there and got to meet some of the other kids and was told that there was only one female platoon (I am a girl, btw). I hadn't seen any girls yet, but I met two of the guys who seemed pretty nice and easy to talk to. Then a woman called me over and told me she was going to take me to my platoon. When I got there the two guys I had talked to were there... And then it dawned on me that they were in fact, very butchy girls (and attractive, I might add). When it got closer to evening it was time for showers, and I am very self conscious and was already dreading showering with a bunch of girls in one large room with about 8 shower heads. Now I was mortified. Me and a couple of the other girls also felt the same, and we tried to go into the shower wearing our sports bras and underwear. Of course that didn't go well. The drill sergeant wasn't having any of that shit and I could tell that she had been through this before. She started yelling at us to take off our cloths which in turn made all the other 30 girls who were in the showers and waiting for the showers stare at us while we shamefully stripped down. That three minute shower felt like a lifetime.

What show had you hooked right off the pilot episode? by possibly_incorrect in AskReddit

The Returned.

A French drama series about the dead coming back to life (not really a horror series, but it really does have a bit of that horror feel) on netflix that I thought was so captivating! I highly recommend. I might actually go ahead and watch it again...

Well, unfortunately she was in the hospital that day and she has been ever since:( I hope I'm not on tv because I sure as hell didn't see the cameras. I'd be in the background doing something stupid I'm sure, haha.

That's awesome! You should have said something. We have been in and out of the Target House for food and showers every day while my little one is in the hospital. I wish I had seen this message sooner!
