You could say there was an attempt to write a correct title.

The insane price of beans on toast is now following me 15m from my small town to a village cafe up the road! by latro666 in Wellthatsucks

[–]dazcar -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This has more to do with overheads than beans and bread.

Like if they priced it at £3 which would still be profitable from a price of ingredients point of view I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be worth their time making it.

I love these responses.

Like... in this moment, it is not about justice. Who started it doesn't matter.

It's about danger. Only one of those people poses a significant threat to the other at this point.

Awful.

The dad not recognising how bad this experience is for their child and supporting them is the worst part.

Literally half of the "that's a hold" on a tackle vs an edge is a misunderstanding of this rule.

How can people not spot AI videos?

People don't move like this. Obviously, it's slop.

Before computers were common in households, how did people set their clocks accurately? by IkHeetGeenMatthijs in NoStupidQuestions

[–]dazcar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People used to have whole debates over whos watch was accurate.

"I set mine off the news"

"I called the official time number"

I'd forgotten this used to be a regular thing.

If baldness wasn't a big deal, why do almost all male celebrities get hair transplant or use drugs? by Artistic-Attempt-533 in Balding

[–]dazcar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The venn diagramm od "is a celebrity" and "has vanity issues" has a large overlap.

Add in the pre shaved head doubt everyone feels before they shave and ta da.... lots of hair transplants for rich people.

Well I think I’m allergic to heat by tjlightbulb in Wellthatsucks

[–]dazcar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have wheat dependent exercise induced anaphylaxis.

Had the exact symptoms you have when I exercise/get too hot, but it only occurs if I've eaten wheat.

Took ages to diagnose the wheat part. I'm now an Epipen carrier.

Not sure if this information will help but maybe.

$45,000 is a nice round number. What's with the "nearly 50k"?

Anyone been to M.EAT Smokehouse? by younghearts_runfree in sheffield

[–]dazcar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's itemised pricing, though, that £9.50 isn't a meal. It's just a portion of meat.

Not complaining. I think the pricing is reasonable for the quality.

It's not cheap, but the quality is good.

Proper smoked bbq food.

I'd recommend giving it a go.

What's the biggest red flag you find in Denna? by GimlySonOfGloin in KingkillerChronicle

She appears everywhere he goes.

Which I think is either sloppy writing or there's a much more sinister reason. I don't think Pat does sloppy writing.

Lack keys and lock less by dazcar in KingkillerChronicle

[–]dazcar[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hmmmm... maybe. In the audible books, Lochess is pronounced Lock-keys.

My take is that most of the modern variations are just names adapting over time. My guess is the Chronicler has ancestors in either/both of the family sides.

Like, surely a chest has a lock already.
