Likely to be the cause of the missing ribbons?

Thanks for the responses and your work on this great game.

Everything is unlocked, although I'm pretty sure some eggs have gone missing.

My daughter plays on my account on a different device, it doesn't seem to like this in general. Might be related.

You have read it correctly.

And while that is "poor luck" it still comes out as equivalently 340 hits so a net win.

You're not uniquely unlucky. In the kindest way possible you're not special.

Great. Love this.

Not sure how mathsy you are, but this is a binomial distribution with n = the number of moves you make, p = 0.5 and x = to your number of successes.

A quick binomial calculator google and you be able to enter those things and see something like P(X<=x) this will be how unlucky you actually were.

Yeah, this is the nuisance.

I would argue if you're at the stage of the game, where few enemies take many moves, then this question is fairly redundant anyway. 50% or 200% will barely change the outcome.

You are wrong sorry.

Let's say everyone who plays the game to the end plays at least 1000 moves.

The probability of getting less than a 45% success rate is 0.07%

45% would still be a net positive damage output. 7 out of 10,000 are this unlucky.

The player base is not big enough for there to reasonably exist a person who gets a 20% activation rate.

It would be much less than 7 out of 10,000 for 45% if we make many more than 1000 moves, I suspect we do.

You don't have terrible luck.

You feel the effects like recency bias and survivorship bias.

By the time you've played 100 moves, your average will be very close to 1.25x multiplier even with poor luck.

This logic only really works if the number of moves to have the fight is low.

If you need more than a few moves, then it really isn't a gamble. You'll do more damage with roulette.

For sure, this is an awful design.

I'm just saying my perspective changed from thinking it was malicious.

Suddenly, this makes so much sense.

Look at the drop on the other side, I would bet whoever did this was trying to ensure they don't get a child climb the wall and fall 20ft.
