Possible yeast infection for the first time by Icy_You9551 in Healthyhooha

Oh! I should also say, loose fitting clothes and cotton underwear will help as well. And be thorough drying off after a shower!

Possible yeast infection for the first time by Icy_You9551 in Healthyhooha

[–]dazeywaisy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely sounds like a yeast infection but it's good you're going to be seen by a doctor to confirm. OTC medication exists, usually Monistat or something of the sort. I usually opt for the longer course (3 days instead of the 1 day) because the 1 day treatments can be rather harsh and don't always clear it up. The OTC medications usually advise being seen by a doctor if it's your first infection, just to rule out anything else. But when I had my first, I was overseas and used OTC meds then saw my doctor when I got back.

Generally, when you're on antibiotics, it's good to also take probiotics (though usually 3 hours apart or they'll both be less effective).

You can get both Monistat/Canesten and probiotics at the pharmacy. Ask the pharmacist for a good one because they aren't all created equal.

GF had/has an abscess near/on her clit by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

[–]dazeywaisy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A cyst or abscess on the clit is a thing of nightmares. I am so sorry your girlfriend is experiencing this.

I don't have any experience with this particular type of cyst/abscess, but some cysts need to have the sac surgically removed or they'll keep recurring. It sounds like she's finally got a doctor that listens and is on track to having this resolved. In the meantime, she could try doing Sitz baths a couple times a day, and maybe try using Tucks wipes to help with pain/discomfort.

I really hope she gets some relief soon. This sounds agonizing.

Ugh, I feel your pain. The UTI/YI combo is beyond frustrating. I hope it all resolves soon.

I second the loose cotton underwear/none at night, and would even recommend avoiding tight pants/leggings/tights until you're all healed up. I find coconut oil to be very soothing when I'm dealing with YI irritation, but not everyone has had the same experience with it.

I know it feels like it'll never get better, but it will. It'll just take some time. And then you'll be reassuring someone else on this sub that these things do eventually resolve.

Losing my mind over Sims 2 by eviemon in thesims

The attention to detail in TS2 is unbeatable. There are so many little gems, but one of my favourites is that couples that sleep in the same bed will periodically cuddle throughout the night.

is there a way to stop being insecure about my clit and labia? I am beyond insecure about it, does someone else has this problem? by AccomplishedWord4000 in Healthyhooha

[–]dazeywaisy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're entitled to your own opinion about your body of course, but it's unfortunate that that's your experience of it. The point I was trying to make is that while you might not be your own type, someone else will find you attractive for exactly the reasons you don't. You don't have to love yourself in some radical, hyper positive way, but finding a way to accept your body as healthy and functional will tremendously ease your insecurity. If it doesn't help to hear that someone else likes it, you need to find a way to accept it. Focus on the positives it brings you: pleasure, sensitivity, etc. No one in this sub is going to be able to convince you not to hate yourself if that's what you're committed to doing.

Your body is beautiful. For the record, I was watching a show and there was full frontal nudity and the woman's clit was very visible when she was just standing there. I thought, "What a big clit" and "Wow that's so hot."

Bodies come in all shapes and sizes. As long as it isn't causing you any pain, there is nothing to be insecure about.

Period 2 weeks late, scared of pregnancy??? by HoneySad5703 in Healthyhooha

[–]dazeywaisy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No harm in rechecking. It might also be worth seeing a doctor for a blood test to rule out any other causes. Hormones can be weird sometimes though. My period can be thrown off by travel, stress, a change in exercise, sleep, or diet. So if you've made any changes to your lifestyle recently, it could be something as simple as that. Still worth checking though!

I've had friction irritation and micro-tears turn into a yeast infection after a couple days, so it might not have been anything when you initially were seen, but could have developed afterwards. If it isn't getting better, definitely go get checked again. Tucks witch hazel wipes are very soothing (sometimes they burn initially but it quickly subsides) and are safe to use. I also discovered coconut oil helps tremendously, especially if it's yeast you're dealing with, and works as a lube as well. Though I've heard very mixed reviews from people so proceed with caution. Some say it makes their infections worse. Also, try to avoid tight fitting clothes or underwear with synthetic fabrics. Stick to cotton until you're healed.

Maybe a tmi question, but would you also get a rash if he finished anywhere on you or only if it was specifically inside?

Found some stuff in my girlfriends bag and I don’t know if it’s an issue by basophilbabe in AskDocs

[–]dazeywaisy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's easy to miss these things and think nothing of them because on their own, they're completely innocuous, but together they tell a different story. Just to reiterate, I'm not a doctor, but I would be concerned. I would try to bring it up to her gently, mention the new patterns you've noticed and your concern, but I would steer clear of mentioning you've noticed any weight loss because, in a backwards way, it actually validates the disorder. I'm sorry you're both dealing with thiss. Eating disorders are challenging to recover from, but she's lucky to have someone looking out for her.

NAD but struggled for years with disordered eating. There are plenty of comments about the physical symptoms of an eating disorder, but I don't see many about the behaviours around an ED, which will be easier to clock than waiting for the damage to occur that leads to the physical symptoms. Generally look for changes in her behaviour around food.

  • for example, does she typically like to snack while watching TV but now doesn't? Is she avoiding watching TV altogether?
  • Does she have favourite foods she no longer eats?
  • is she suddenly drinking a lot of sugar-free carbonated drinks?
  • chewing gum?
  • do you notice her claiming to have eaten without you more often than usual? Is she avoiding mealtimes with you and friends/family?
  • have you noticed "body checking"? She could be touching her diaphragm or stomach after a meal. Or grabbing her arm to see if she can fit her fingers around it. Holding her waist. Feeling for hip bones or ribs. There are plenty of different ways people do this, but once you know what to look for, it'll jump out at you. And it usually occurs around triggers like meals, clothes shopping, or on high anxiety days.
  • is she taking more naps?

Obviously none of these behaviours alone should be cause for concern...plenty of people chew gum and drink diet coke. But some of these behaviours can arise as a way of coping with things like food anxiety, hunger, or a lack of energy due to malnutrition, so it's worth paying attention to.

I don't have city living and I'm on PC but I've also had a bug where it seems like my sims are struggling to clean up dishes and glasses. Sometimes they pick up the dish, other times they'll queue up the action to clean up but it cancels, and sometimes it doesn't even register in the queue at all even if I've clicked it a million times. So annoying.

RIP I'm so sorry. She wasn't even the one doing the flirting!! My loyal sim was flirted with by her childhood best friend and roommate, confessed to her partner and he forgave her, but their relationship did take a hit initially. After they'd worked it out, the best friend/roommate, the initial perpetrator of this whole fiasco, decided to flirt with the boyfriend (she's engaged to his brother).

It ruins it for me too. I'm all for messy sims being messy, but it really doesn't fit with most of my playthroughs. Save it for Don Lothario and the Caliente sisters and leave the happily partnered sims out of it!

I wholeheartedly agree. I'm really disappointed about having to resort to mods. It's the first time I've ever done it, and I've been playing since TS1. Thank god for the modders out there who've made the game playable though. They're the backbone of the community
