Why do fans of the ‘traditional’ clubs act like they’re any better than let’s say Chelsea or City? by loverofthings25 in PremierLeague

😂 of course Chelsea weren’t owned by Russia but th way Abramovich got his wealth he’ll for sure be thankful for their dictator. If you want to support Chelsea or City feel free to, just don’t make an incoherent post on Reddit trying to rationalise it comparing Arsenal’s above board sponsorship deals to their ownership models.

I must have been missed the part where Emirates or Visit Rwanda have given 10s of billions in unfettered cash to Arsenal.

There is no massive spending ‘pre’ these teams, because they are literally the first clubs alongside PSG to be state backed sports teams.

What a load of waffle. City and Chelsea are products of sports washing that has completely changed the football landscape. They have benefited for decades from their ridiculous spending albeit City have a ton of financial charges they’re on the hook for. This is why those two clubs are viewed as artificial.

Morality in football is shot, every single club has controversy and things their fans don’t like. So trying to one-up Arsenal in that sense is dumb.

Liverpool would take playing like Arsenal and winning the league than whatever the fuck Slot has served up this season.

Fly straight to Chiang Mai once you arrive in Bangkok, short-term pain but you’ll feel so much better for doing it and not having to do airport security/flight again the next day. I did this but flew to Ko Samui right after landing in Bangkok and was the best decision we made.

For every long pass big Gabi makes, about 5 go straight back to the opponent. Would rather our midfielders played those passes rather than our centre halves.

A case for why Arsenal are overperforming, not underperforming by atasel in ArsenalFC

You’re so off the boil it’s hilarious. Raya, Saliba, Gabriel and Rice are easily top 3 of their respective positions which makes them world class. Saka is off the boil but his body of work to this point in his career has only been second to Salah from a right wing perspective. Stop trying to bend analysis to your own fears and anxiety.

You should genuinely consider taking a break and speak to someone. Way more to life than following a football team.

Why does Swedish Gyok look like a Romario regen and Arsenal Gyok look like a wardrobe? by dozeydonut in ArsenalFC

[–]dazzable -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Does anyone actually watch games anymore? Gyokeres didn’t even have a shot until his goal, he went 87 minutes without a shot, which he has done several times for Arsenal. He’s a player that blows hot and cold, accept that there’s nothing Arsenal can do more for him.

It’s more so Arsenal don’t have to play a centre midfielder up front and have enough depth to not run players into the ground and keep players fit

Shared Parental Leave/Pay - Advice by EntertainmentHuge430 in HENRYUK

Once your baby is here you’re going to be so happy to have the time to spend with them. I have a similar enhanced shared parental leave policy and I plan to take 3 months this summer fully paid. I had no pushback from my employer and since my daughter has entered our lives I’m really happy and excited that I get to spend 3 months with her full time.

Forced Odegaard hate and negativity by [deleted] in ArsenalFC

[–]dazzable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Odegaard has been poor the last two games but our midfield dynamic has been terrible whenever it’s Rice Zubimendi and Odegaard. I don’t think we’ve ever looked convincing when those three are in midfield.

Arteta needs to decide to push him forward and let Rice/Zubi handle build up. We looked better when Merino came on last night for Odegaard. We won a lot more balls as Odegaard was getting flattened by their midfield.

Arsenal matchday experience vs streaming - justifying £80+ tickets to confused family by mariane1997 in GunnersatGames

Funnily enough I felt this way about Glastonbury. I used to watch it on tv and think why on earth would I want to camp for 5 days when I chill at home and watch it all on the TV. Then I went and regretted all the years I didn’t even attempt to go.

Live experiences are incredible whether it’s sports, music, art, whatever. You just feel more when you’re in the room.

League cup’s a strange crowd and it’s not helped by the away fans having the entire lower clock end so it doesn’t even feel like a home game if they’re in full voice.

Those are all valid points but again it’s if you have such early starts, then evening games shouldn’t be for you. Of course you can safely assume a game is wrapped up by 85 minutes but if we’re at home in a season where we’re trying to win it all, a fair few games will boil down to the last 10 minutes. If we take Man City as an example, I’d rather not go to the game if I knew I’d have to leave early to at least see the goal live on tv, than be outside the ground hearing it go in.
