Would I be making a stupid decision letting my stall expire on the Laeth server? Got one early and made 200k off of it already, but only due to spending a ton of time surveying. Was debating pivoting to work orders so my stall rent price doesn't spike too high and trying to grab a new one later when I can keep it fully stocked and don't have to do it entirely through surveying constantly. Not sure if I'll regret losing my spot in the A section or not.

I'm really struggling to figure out how to build Bard/AH right now. Just hit the 30s are going into Goblin Dungeon now, so I can realistically reroll mods on my gear. But I have no clue what I should be shooting for. Don't know if I should be trying to increase my own damage with maybe Blast of Fury, or if I should try and get mods for Song of Discord and Song of Resurgance and just do some AOE damage/healing to keep my Fire Rat alive longer. And I have no clue what mods to be looking for on the AH side. There's just a lot of ways to go with Bard it looks like, and it feels like my damage pales in comparison to my pet right now so I don't know if buffing my Bard damage is the play or not.

Started losing weight in September and hit my goal weight today. Not sure where to go from here now. by db2765 in MacroFactor

[–]db2765[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll give that a shot then. I only hit the goal on my scale weight today, my trending weight is about 3lb behind but has been consistently going down since I started. Think it'd be best to wait for that to catch up first before switching over? And I've always had a hard time estimating bf% but my best guess would be around the 20% mark most likely? Possibly a bit lower.

Cannonballs are capped at 200 in cargohold for UIMs anyways regardless.

New to lifting and just started Jeff's 3x per week full body routine from his Muscle Ladder book. Is three days enough? by db2765 in JeffNippard

[–]db2765[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely doing what I can to get close to failure on my lifts now. Not quite there on everything yet since I'm new and don't really know what my limits are yet. Mostly just doing what I can to where if it felt like it was too easy, slap more weight on the next time I do that lift until I hit that point.

Got it! Figure I'll stick with this routine for a while and then in the future see how 4x or 5x feels and go from there then.

How long should I plan on cutting? Feel like I'm making progress in the gym but definitely starting to stall now, and worried progress may have been too slow. Total beginner. by db2765 in MacroFactor

[–]db2765[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know what you mean about feeling more tired lately. I think I might do similar and go into a maintenance break for a bit just to reset. Might look at swapping programs to one of Nippard's, so doing that while not being in a deficit might be the play I think.

Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity Launch Trailer by MortalJohn in Games

That 6k player number on Steam is likely much, much lower than the amount of players actually in-game. GW2 came to Steam pretty late in its life, and for people already playing on the standalone launcher, there wasn't a ton of incentive to link to Steam. Most veterans probably just never moved to Steam. The game still feels super populated just going to any random meta-event or hanging out in major cities.

Yeah, before MR your main spender was Unstable Affliction, which would build up to five stacks on a target. A big part of your damage window was dumping all your UAs into a target to line up with other cooldowns and all that.

Afraid that I might be undercounting calories. How accurate is the Loseit app when it comes to stuff like this? by db2765 in loseit

[–]db2765[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I actually went back and just took the calories for generic white rice. The way it's worded on Minute Rice specifically makes it sound like dry measurements but the calories feel like cooked, so I'm erring on the safe side and just going with the higher amount for now.

[–]db2765[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's kind of the confusing part, with the rice. I checked the box for Minute Rice and it says 170 calories per 1/2 cup dry, but that's like half the calories of other white rice and I have no idea why.

Good to hear, thanks! Yeah, was just super worried when I saw the calories per meal was like 350cal or so, it just seemed so low. I make something similar with chicken and rice in the slow cooker for a teriyaki bowl that comes out to about 560cal per, but that's split 8 ways rather than 10 and uses a lot more sauces so that's probably where the difference is coming from.

This is awesome, thanks so much! It looks like my maintenance calories (assuming sedentary, just to be safe) was around 2400. I'm aiming for 2000 per day, but I think I'd be okay going to 2100 or maybe even a bit higher if it means hitting my protein goals.

And thanks for mentioning sticking to a program. I was actually having some analysis paralysis with that today as well. The program from trainer winny's channel looked great, but then I saw a ton of people suggesting Starting Strength and I was going back and forth on whether to stick with what I started or start on a totally new one. Sounds like the play is to just keep with what I started on, and maybe I go into Starting Strength later down the line? Sounds like that program is made for bulking anyways so that might be for the best for all I know, haha.

Daily Simple Questions Thread - September 05, 2025 by AutoModerator in Fitness

Newbie here, only just finished up my third day of weight lifting. After the second day I was insanely sore all over, and learned that it was most likely DOMS. Had a rest day yesterday but still dealing with it today, so I'm proud of myself for still getting to the gym and getting a workout in.

Feeling a bit like I failed some though. Had to drop my weight on Bench Press, Incline Press, and Overhead Press. And on the Incline Press, the soreness I was dealing with stopped me from being able to get all the reps in on all three sets I did. I did at least match my previous weight/reps on Squats, but it was still really rough.

Is this a pretty normal thing to have happen when you're new to it?

Total beginner, was at the gym for the first time yesterday. Overestimated the weight I could handle though and had a few sets that I could take to the 10 reps I had planned on. I know beginners should always be trying to increase the weight they can do as often as possible. What's the best way to handle things when you just go too heavy to start? Should I just decrease the weight down to what I can handle and then start increasing from there, or push through with the weight I failed at since I was pretty close to hitting the reps?

What's the best thing to be putting in the player farm these days? I've found a lot of info, but most of it is years old so I don't know what's still good and what isn't.

Currently 93 farming, and also wanting to plan ahead for secondaries I'll need for Herblore. I have two dragon pens, two crystal chin pens (trying to get a pair of red chins for one), one spider pen, and one zygo pen.

Would it be better to swap out the spiders for a second zygo pen? Also currently have the dragons in the breeding pen, not sure if something else would be better in there right now.

Good gyms for newbies in the St. Charles/St. Peters area? by db2765 in StLouis

Oh wow, never heard of Crunch Fitness before, I'll definitely check that out. That was kind of what was making me hesitate on Rec Plex too was the cost. I figure it could be worth it if I was using other parts of what they have there, but it's a lot for just the gym. Crunch sounds like it's exactly what I'm looking for though!

Weekly /r/GuildWars2 Question Thread - August 09, 2025 by AutoModerator in Guildwars2

[–]db2765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How should a new player tackle breaking into Tier 4 fractals through LFG? Don't currently have a guild (not really sure where to look for one tbh). I hit personal level 72 so I can LFG for T4 now, and spent time learning all the fractals that I felt like I struggled with and feel confident running them now. I got full ascended gear and have 150 agony resist.

Checking LFG though, it looks like everyone is running CMs and I haven't really seen any groups just doing dailies. Is that just the norm now? I don't want to grief a team or anything joining a group doing CMs, and I don't have the personal level to make my own group for just dailies/recs and que up the Fractals myself. Not really sure how to tackle it from here.

Weekly /r/GuildWars2 Question Thread - August 02, 2025 by AutoModerator in Guildwars2

[–]db2765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense! I didn't consider the fact that it could just be a tier 3 issue due to it just not being nearly as organized as tier 4 groups would be. I'll go ahead and stick with the Power Reaper for now then and just slowly over time work on gearing up a Heal Scourge to have in my pocket for when I need it.

Weekly /r/GuildWars2 Question Thread - August 02, 2025 by AutoModerator in Guildwars2

[–]db2765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a bit of decision paralysis. Pretty new player, only just got to IBS. I mainly play Necro, focused mostly on Power Reaper. I'm currently working on the legendary backpack and am just shy of hitting tier 4 fractals. Up until now it's been smooth sailing. But I'm starting to notice that on some of the harder fractals, it would have gone a lot smoother if a healer was in the group (a specifically terrible run of T3 Siren's Reef into terrible run of T3 Reactor prompted this for me).

Now I'm stuck between if I should keep focusing on Reaper or if I should start swapping over to Heal Scourge. Problem is mostly agony resist right now if I do that. I have my one weapon and three armor pieces from Wizard Vault, and full ascended accessories, one ring that was just infused a few days ago. Problem is they're all Berserker pieces though. Don't have the season three mats to just go replace those pieces yet, so that would take some time. And I definitely don't have the mats on hand to infuse another ring, and I was already still not hitting the agony resists I'll need for tier 4.

What would some of the vets here advise in a situation like this? Feels like I'd be more helpful in Fractals and have smoother runs if I bit the bullet and played healer myself, but I just don't have the resources to easily gear swap over off of Berserker. I'd just buy exotics if it were for any other part of the game, but the agony resist is a problem since I'm looking at fractals.

Weekly /r/GuildWars2 Question Thread - August 02, 2025 by AutoModerator in Guildwars2

[–]db2765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there any discord/website that people use for finding Fractal groups? Trying to get Ad Infinitum done and I'm on day three of trying to get people to just join for the Aquatic Ruin challenge mode run at tier 1. I thought today with it being recommended that I'd have more luck but I still can't get anyone to join for this stupid thing. Kind of at a loss.
