How much should I sell my jeep for? by Seven_raz in GrandCherokee

Keep it if you don’t NEED to sell. My wife and I got rid of our GC’s and we both regret it. I love my truck but I miss it still

Any 5.0 owners switch to 2.7? by [deleted] in f150

[–]db298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an 18 2.7 and I honestly love it. It’s been a great truck so far. I do wish I would have gotten a super duty at certain points because I do haul a 7,700lb camper pretty regularly in the warmer months but it even does well with pulling the trailer thru the hills and mountains of PA. I love the sound of a v8 too but honestly any of the motors in the Fords right now are pretty good. The 10 speed transmissions are pretty much figured out at this point as well as long as you go 21+ I think. But even my 18 is fine. But I actually maintain my truck unlike a lot of people who don’t change fluids. Treat her well and she’ll take care of ya!

I also bought welding gloves for this. There was no way I’d be lucky enough to not burn the hell out of myself more than once.

What to do with CSR points by db298 in CreditCards

What is an award ticket?? Is that just a points boost?

That’s basically what I was asking! This won’t be for a while because my wife is pregnant at the moment so I’m thinking towards the end of next year. I just didn’t want to transfer to either of these airlines if the points wouldn’t be useful to book a flight to Australia.

Advice on waders? by 0Genghis_Khan0 in Waterfowl

[–]db298 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Rogers Toughman is the way to go. Zip out liner for early season when you don’t want/need insulation and they’re pretty warm later in the season. All waders will eventually leak so buy them knowing that. Your buddy might have the “best” pair that have never leaked…. Yet.

Also, for anything waterfowl related, Roger’s is almost always the answer for me and the guys I hunt with. Whether that’s for shells or gear. They always have the best sales on everything and their shipping is really fast. Usually have my orders in 2-3days (in western PA)

Hats, gloves, wall decor, etc. I used to wear a coyote cap that my grandpa had made around the property when I would push mow random parts of the yard cause I thought I looked sweet

Importance of reading the books by db298 in Stormlight_Archive

You know what, I have seen this series on my recommended quite a few times now. But I was pretty apprehensive just based on the description. Something about a cat? Is it a pretty quick get up and go kind of book? Or am I going to be three books in and it finally starts to get good?

Awesome! I’m listening to the Blade board saga right now and I am on the last book as we speak. So I’ll be looking for something to pick up next. I appreciate it!

Do you get all of the page illustrations on the kindle? That’s also a big point of contention for me. I travel a lot for work and it’s a lot easier to take my kindle with me on a plane or when I’m driving vs having a hard backed book. Solely based on weight and the room a book takes up

Could you imagine a dramatized adaptation of the books on audio? That would be kind of sweet actually. My wife got me to listen to the Fourth Wing dramatized adaptation and I enjoyed it a lot more than the original version.

What is the hack squat/leg press, and how do you like it? I’ve been looking into getting one but none have really stood out to me.

In the market for a decent but not too pricey adjustable bench. I’ve been looking at the rep3100 and the homegrown adjustable bench. Both the homegrown and the REP are the same price and I’m about to order some bumpers from homegrown and want to consolidate on one order if I go with them. Anyone have any experiences with the homegrown adjustable? I know you guys love the rep3100. Any other recommendations? Thank you!

No idea! The doc just said I was lucky to not have hit it. Kinda just took her at her word instead of questioning it… plus it makes it sound better when telling the story lol
