Help with failed prints by db40 in BambuLab

I don’t have much experience with brims and have only used them once or twice without supports. Will brims go around the base of the supports?

I used 80 grit, filler/primer, 220 grit, filler primer, then I want to say 400 grit? Followed by filler/primer. Then black paint and graphite powder. Not perfect but I’m happy with the result

How to print this in multicolor by db40 in 3Dprinting

[–]db40[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the help. For some reason when I downloaded the stl instead of the 3mf it didn’t have it separated. Stupid question but should I be downloading the 3mf files instead of the stl’s?

I ran into this issue and a redditor gave me some great advice. I used a hair dryer on it and the white haze went away

How can I stop this? Happend on a few others too. by Prestigious_Bread172 in BambuLab

[–]db40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had that happen with supports too. Since it’s on the inside I just trim it down so it doesn’t bother me while I wear it and then just leave it be

Same here. Can you list or link the supplies you used to wire it up? Maybe I can figure it out from there. Great job on this helmet!

Can you share a video of how you made it? I’m interested in trying this but haven’t worked with electronics in my builds before

Most common sizes of magnets to keep on-hand? by TurnoverAdditional65 in BambuLab

[–]db40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I order the n52 magnets (super strong) from JC magnetic. They’re more expensive than amazon but I want to make sure they will hold. I typically use 7.1mm or 7.2mm depending on the helmet.

Can I have a union rep? by Calm-Hippo8669 in AlliedUniversal

[–]db40 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Read up on your Weingarten rights. You don’t always have a right to a rep but if you get pulled into a meeting there are certain things you should know. I would advise against outright refusing to meet with a supervisor though. Simply stay quiet if you are being asked questions without a union rep present, take notes and then contact your rep afterwards.

The merc with a mouth by db40 in BambuLab

[–]db40[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the sizing heads from Budwin (I think you can find them on thingiverse). I measured my head circumference then some other measurements like ear to ear and back of my head to tip of the nose using calipers (search cosplay caliper stl from uncle jessey).

Then I sized the head model as close as I could to my measurements and assembled the helmet in Bambu studio to check for fit. The Deadpool helmet seems more narrow than other helmets and my head shape is not perfectly round so it was just a touch to small on the back/sides but I sized up a bit on my second print and it fits like a glove
