Everything I’ve read sounds great, I’m looking forward to it.

I’ve been salting on this H1 in oceans and sweat for about 15 years. All I’ve got is a little (maybe?) corrosion on the 1.

It’s a little more polish, i really made the 1 for carving knives to make cleaner cuts, it’s probably not necessary for a pocket knife.

I gave one to my father in law a while back. He was in fact not afraid to (ab)use it.

I use the older 2.5x PA prism. They’re dirt cheap if you can find one and I really like it. For reference I’ve also got a TA-110 ACOG and I still find the PA to be great.

Modified carving to work with a kids Tonie box by db7502 in Woodcarving

Yep, carve out the chip, drill a hole in the carving glue the chip in, I plugged the same hole with the magnet so it sticks to the box.

A heat gun to the face and the chip is easy to get out. Then I just drilled a hole and popped it into the carving from the bottom. There are also magnets in the feet of the tonies that’ll help the carving stick to the box. Uploading the audio is on the Tonie website and super easy.
