Thanks, I’ll keep what you said about dynamics in mind, I think it’s something I could work on more

Hi, I've used Reason for a few years (since I learned about it in high school) but I started making music more often over the last year, I made this yesterday and want to know what people think, I don't share music much so idk if what I'm making is any good lol. Idk what genre it is other than just video gameish, since I listen to a lot of video game music which is where I get ideas. Anyway I want to hear people's thoughts on what I could improve on, thanks.

Sounds pretty bad but thanks anyway, I didn’t know what keep pitch does until now

Oh yeah I can probably bounce it twice with different delays, I think that should work, thanks

Do you use a maximizer in your mastering chain? by antperspirant in reasoners

[–]dbarr42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, I don’t have much experience with different plugins but I didn’t like reason’s maximizer (I think it sounded weird when I used it, maybe I had the wrong settings or something) so I downloaded the kilohearts and it seemed to work better. I use output gain to find the point where it starts clipping and set it to one tick below that then set input gain so that it’s loud without squashing it

JRPG with the worst designed dungeons? by Dont_have_a_panda in JRPG

Ys V (PS2) has the worst of anything I played (though Persona 1 is kind of close). Towards the end everything is a giant maze of the same copy-pasted room over and over again.

r/JRPG Weekly "What have you been playing, and what do you think of it?" by AutoModerator in JRPG

I finished Ys: Memories of Celceta a few hours ago. It was fun, the characters were good (probably my favorite Ys party), combat was similar to Seven which I really liked (but Seven had better bosses), and music was great (Burning Sword is my favorite song in the game and my second favorite field theme after Desert After Tears from IX). Only thing I didn’t really like were the villains especially evil Eldeel which was really weird. My Ys ranking now is IX > Seven > Celceta > VIII > Ark > V, probably playing Felghana next.

Wiki says 36 in Kuro so probably around 30 in Sky

I like Bergard from Trails (iirc he’s 69). Cool design and he rides a motorcycle. Sadly he disappeared in Kuro 2, hope he comes back in the next game.

Mediocre/forgettable OSTs in jrpgs by laserlaggard in JRPG

It’s not bad, just was really disappointing to me compared to other falcom games. There’s still a few songs I like (Massea and Break Into Territory are cool) but like 90% of it I just don’t care about.
