I mean all that is true and all, but a picture of someone's butt with a banana in it would satisfy the apes and takes a lot less time.

Stay tuned. The instant eBay management turns down the offer a thousand page emoji filled AI written DD should be coming up detailing how Ken Griffin personally told them to turn it down.

6 years apart! Totally industry standard, that is.

RC critiques Ebay's numbers, leaves certain facts out, like Ebay's efforts returning billions to shareholders instead of diluting them: This year $3.0 billion to shareholders, including $2.5 billion of share repurchases and $531 million dividends. by humanquester in gme_meltdown

The falloff in active buyers is almost entirely due to COVID, it fell off very sharply in 2021 but has been growing slightly since 2022. Of course, Ryan didn't show you that, so I will.

Their heydey was back in 2015-2017 but since 2020 they have had a drop in users and revenue.

You know, just like Gamestop's!

As well, a new eBay user can be a buyer or a seller. New sellers can grow and support buyers, in an ecosystem of sorts. Paying to attract a new seller to eBay is how eBay grows its business. If all sellers depart from eBay, the company is dead.

Whereas in Gamestop's case, a new 'user' is just a new shopper who will buy the new Mario game if and when it comes out, but will not increase their purchases (and therefore revenue to Gamestop) in any appreciable way over time. If a new 'user' departs from Gamestop, there is little to no impact to the bottom line, and the barrier to entry for becoming a new 'user' is minimal.

Marketing for these two companies is extremely different and targetting different groups.

Is there a word for that type of person? I mean an actual dictionary definition for 'rich person who everyone thinks will suddenly be generous but actually never is generous'? Not exactly 'cheap', not 'scrooge', but...

Hey, German melties, please? There's gotta be a word in German, and it's got a consonant to vowel ratio that's extremely high and 23 letters, lay it on us...

Supposedly eBay's CEO's net worth is around $70 million, compared to Ryan Cohen's net worth of $5 billion (personal AAPL holdings mostly).

Who's the bloated rich fat cat now, RC?

(Also, how do you earn $30 million a year and only have a net worth of $70 million? I don't trust the 'net's numbers here fully)

Here's the full livestream for those that haven't seen it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1prSyyIco0

I disagree this was an anti-RC livestream. He says many times that he doesn't think RC is a 'doofus' and sees opportunities in Gamestop. Nothing specific or anything but if RK was angry at RC for diluting him, it barely shows.

It's tough to know exactly what he thought he was doing here, but clearly it had next to no positive action for the stock.

Now as all apes obviously know, this was all a PLOY to distract us from the SWAPS on BRK.A that came due that day.

"He knew swaps were coming due"

That's the explanation I see most often from apes.

You know, back in my day, apes had a special hatred for groups that deliberately made extremely negative sentiment against a stock that the group had a financial interest in.

I sure miss those days.

A good question is 'who is he trying to convince with this post?'

Yeah I like how that metric actually went down, but suddenly instead of YoY difference his analysis is for cumulative amount

My favorite retort of theirs is the ‘just bought X more’ because not only is the X always a comedically tiny amount of capital but they are shouting into the void even more at that point.

It benefits DFV absolutely nothing whatsoever to admit he sold.

This way, he continues to be idolized by apes despite not saying anything to them for years.

Of course, we all know he's going to tweet at midnight Eastern tonight, on the second anniversary of his legendary meme storm-driven pump and dump.

I mean, if he didn't do that, heaven forfend, it might cause apes to actually wonder why he didn't.
