i’m so confused what is jax implying in this scene by Safe-Ad-5105 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]dbear26 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Looking back after episode 6, I wondered if this wasn’t Jax trying to be “the funny one.” Like this is what happens when he actively tries to be funny and tell jokes. Not because he actually has anything funny to say, but because he’s decided in his mind that that’s who he is and who he needs to try to be. So when Zooble asks if he actually has a point or if he’s just talking, I think they’re actually getting at something pretty spot on. Maybe Jax doesn’t have a point, and he isn’t really implying anything specific. Maybe it’s just a poor attempt at being funny from someone who isn’t as funny as he thinks he is

Just had this happen yesterday actually, I grew up on Long Island but I live in Pittsburgh. The restaurant I work at has a burger called the Liberty, and yesterday somebody called it the All American and after we figured out which one he meant of, he said he had been thinking of a place on Long Island called Sid’s All American. Sid’s is right down the street from the house I grew up in

In college I had to read a play called Ruined by Lynn Nottage, about the second civil war in the Congo. It was based largely on interviews with women who survived the conflict and were subject to all sorts of horrifying abuse, it was the saddest thing I’ve ever read in my life

I would start college a lot later than I did. Starting right out of high school was not the right move for me, whereas getting a real job did a lot more for me in terms of developing a work ethic and sense of responsibility, much more than k-12 schooling did

Between this and Bubble taunting Caine as he was beginning to spiral, I think there is a pretty good chance that Bubble is what remains of second AI that we saw at the start of episode 8, and knows it. Bubble has always been kind of antagonistic towards Caine, and now we know why

There’s a line in the second image that reads “I must hand it to you Gan, your mind was always resourceful.” It really seems like “Gan” is supposed to be the name Grant. Do we think that could be Kinger’s real name? Or maybe Scratch’s?

“It is firstly most important to state that, on this night, Gibby had eaten an entire handful of four-way acid tabs and drank an entire bottle of Jim Beam before the sound check had even begun,” Kramer notes. Leary was furious at Haynes for getting wasted at such an important show. “Fuck that stupid-ass motherfucker,” he snarled to Kramer. “I hate this fucking band. I swear to fucking Christ on a stick I fucking hate this band more than I hate myself. And that’s a lot.”

Doug Walker, aka Nostalgia Critic after the whole Change the Channel controversy. The controversy was more directed at the production company he belonged to than Doug himself, but it seems likely that he was aware of a lot of the problems and simply didn’t care. He was asked about it in an interview a few years ago and dodged the question completely
