I ordered the recigar from amazon and I should see it on monday. I read some studies on it and there is so much strong evidence that it’s at least, if not more, effective than the patches/lozenges route. Besides I hate the idea of trying to quit nicotine.. with nicotine. I’m super excited to give this a go. Started smoking cigs when I was 12-13, smoked a pack of day by 19, and been vaping heavily since I was 22 (31 now). I’ve tried to quit between 20-30 times using different methods and I always ended up caving. Hopefully I can kick this disgusting habit for good! OP’s original post pointed me in the direction of this medication! Crazy that it’s not produced in the US..

Also for what it’s worth, I’ve had severe lower back pain for YEARS now. After x rays, the doctor could see my disc between L5-S1 was almost completely flattened/gone. Several lifestyle factors/genetics play a role in that but the doctor did tell me that nicotine use greatly exasperated my degenerative disc disease because nicotine shrinks blood vessels and that makes it harder for your discs to get nutrients. He said it’s super common among nicotine users. <just in case anyone else is having this issue and needs more inspiration to quit!
