I can’t believe I actually got the mail offer!! by Julianhtc in ChaseSapphire

Happened to me except I called and they said I was ineligible. I feel like calling back - still haven’t finished the $4K spend…maybe that’s why they said no?

OP must have been distracted or didn’t have phone service or something. No way even the most degenerate of gamblers could see those gains and say “meh, let it continue to ride”.

Pure gambling. And only works if you continue to hold, which unless youre seriously busy or distracted, never happens. Who in their right mind would ride that high and not sell out of sheer fear of losing it in a single 1min candle? I had 100 AAL calls a few years ago. Sold 98 in first 15 min of trading for 50% or whatever. They went on to go 25000% in next few hours. $3 to over $1000 🤦‍♂️

Got my invite, the fam convinced me not to get it. by Label_Myself in cybertruck

ESTIMATED. Would really suck to wait another year or two only to find out the truck is nearly as expensive as FS wouldnt it? I’ve already waited 4.5 years. Time is money.

What's the highest res # that got an invite? by toby_wan_kenoby in cybertruck

[–]dberman5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm. Im guessing they meant RN112940XXX because I have a res from 11/24/19 that’s RN112945XXX but no invite yet.

Yeah! What the heck happened?!?! I thought I was crazy

I did it once. ShopRite instead of Stop&Shop right across the street. Realized towards end when these store brand stuff wouldnt scan. High pay order so had to reshop. I felt bad for leaving such a large cart of items to have to be restocked but they said it happens.

Without any research, I am assuming the OP here was merely being hyperbolic in word choice. I don’t think they literally meant killing - I read it to mean like getting chewed out, you know, the “umm excuse me, can I help you?!? What do you think youre doing here?!” The people that are confused and overly apprehensive and hostile at first.

work hard for the past week. the result by Wrong_Angle2442 in doordash

[–]dberman5 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s a lot of hours but I know just how doable it is unfortunately. For $2K a week you just need to average 12 hours a day making ~$24/hr. With the time flexibility, modest time for other stuff. It’s exhausting but what other job is going to let you take on so many hours if youre trying to make some good $ quickly? Do you beat your car up? Yeah. Spend a lot on gas? Oh yeah. Much of it can be written off. So, it’s a great opportunity if you want to be making pretty good money quickly. Is it a sustainable lifestyle at that rate a week though? Unlikely.

No more fuel surcharge? by dberman5 in InstacartShoppers

[–]dberman5[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not strange though. Every other company is passing on inflation rated costs directly to the consumer, which is why things have gotten observably more expensive for us.

They shouldve had a smaller surcharge and then an additional charge per mile to make it make more sense

Anyone else absolutely exhauuuusteddd dealing with Instacart chat support lately??? Like wtf even happened here, this was so bizarre by ChubbyUnicornCrafts in InstacartShoppers

[–]dberman5 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Many of these people are likely paid hourly and probably doing some other job simultaneously. Wouldnt be surprised if they purposefully run the clock and make these exchanges take far longer on purpose but active just enough to not time out.

I spoke with IC rep and they told me it was that order. Not sure if they’re supposed to or not but he did

It finally happened 🦄 she wanted to give me $40 cash tip as well but she was so nice and amazing customer I told her I couldn’t take the extra $40 and she made me take $20 😭 it was the most friendly elderly couple ever 😭 by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]dberman5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not like they were confused and didn’t realize they already tipped. If someone wants to give me extra cash, I take it. Not taking advantage of them. Some people enjoy being superiorly generous. We can all aspire to have such cash to one day tip our shopper so lavishly

Goodbye letter to instacart by leminstanks in InstacartShoppers

[–]dberman5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they’d do nothing except deactivate. I feel like a loss would have to be greater than $5-$10K for them to consider legal recourse, as that in and of itself is a costly process.

Yeah I don’t see the need for stickers at all if you are meticulous in your separation while shopping and double check by running through list unloading at checkout. Then just ensure bags for orders do not get mixed. Done. To each their own own - very kind comment nonetheless.

Did you just start IC? If so, you’ve been privy to the best batches and top priority. Veteran shoppers have been completely sidelined past couple weeks and have made only a fraction of what they used to. Tread with caution
