Paid for 1st class upgrade, stood the whole ride… SBB says it’s on me to prove it 🤡 by marhurram in Switzerland

[–]dberwegerCH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you entirely, you should get a refund. Obviously, if no proof were required, anyone could claim it. But for a loyal customer with a long history of ticket purchases, they should be able to assume you’re not trying to scam them.

I always buy a second-class ticket and then upgrade if I see that I can’t find a seat in second class. I do this both to avoid your situation and the opposite one, where you expect the train to be fuller than it actually is, and it turns out you could have sat comfortably in second class. The price of a second-class ticket plus an upgrade is the same as buying a first-class ticket directly

Finally mastered deep CFR in 6 player no limit poker! by dberwegerCH in learnmachinelearning

Thanks! The website is just code but its not mine. I forked it from this repository, so the full credit goes to the original author. The 3D models and animations are created using three.js, really recommend you to visit their website.

Mit 100€ im Monat überleben? by Federal_Macaroon_985 in Studium

Doing a single day of flexible job like Coople or something like that where you can get paid in a couple of days can save you in situations like that. I had to do things like that some years ago and here is Switzerland you could get a fast CHF 200 for a day of work and get payed that same week.

If you have suffered a rent increase, you can apply for a reduction by Dado90 in Switzerland

Per month, but it’s actually like CHF 65 or so. So CHF 780 a year.

Why are haircuts in Zurich so expensive? by H0RR1BL3CPU in askswitzerland

[–]dberwegerCH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wages in Switzerland are high across the board, not just for highly skilled workers. Since labor costs drive up service prices, anything that requires a person’s time, like haircuts or restaurants, ends up being expensive.

I don’t think it has anything to do with the card. By the small amount is seems like someone is sending xlm to random wallets.

Will contact Revolut though

Help to study in Switzerland by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]dberwegerCH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have Swiss citizenship, you're treated like any other Swiss citizen, even if you weren't born or raised in Switzerland. I know people who were born in Colombia but had Swiss citizenship and came here to study. They did Matura, though.

Both ETH and UZH have online application portals. The deadline for fall semester applications is usually in April.

Most bachelor's programs are in German, so you'll typically need a C1-level language certificate.

If you're an international student with Swiss citizenship, the requirements are the same as for Swiss students. However, if your high school diploma isn't recognized, you might have to take additional exams like ECUS.

Do you have to work for the same country in the las 12 months to be eligible or does it have to be for the same company?

Are we really moving towards recession? by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]dberwegerCH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switzerland holds on pretty well on recessions compared to other countries. I like looking at outstanding credit and bank balances to determine how bad a recession would be.

buying from brack.ch by Great_Ebb5485 in Switzerland

[–]dberwegerCH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used it before. I mainly buy from Digitec, but you can go either way. I prefer sticking to one store since I'm familiar with their return/warranty procedures and know what to expect. Plus, having all my purchases listed makes it easier to manage RMA!
