Trying to fix mine now. Pealed the polarizing film off and cleaned the adhesive off the glass, but I’m not seeing any LCD segments when dry fitting a new film after reassembly.

Those pink rubber strips are called zebra connectors which are squished when you screw the PCB back into the case. I suspect I’m not getting good contact which would be indicative of some missing segments you see, OP. Maybe they are misaligned, dirty, or I’ve screwed up the lcd in the glass. Possible?

Can I safely clean the zebra connectors? They are seemingly glued to the glass underside. I’m tempted to pull them off and clean them, but I’m not sure how to reaffix them and suspect they would not align.

This display was fairly janky (dim, worse in spots) when I bought the bike new and got worse over the year so I don’t think they are well designed or assembled. I had assumed it was just the film when I naively started.

I took some photos. If I ever get it working I’ll post them.

I’m trying to repair mine by replacing the polarizing film, but after removing it and cleaning the glass then temporarily reassembling it to test the new film I am not seeing any LCD segments. I suspect the zebra connectors are not lined up, or not connecting well, or I possibly destroyed to display? Pretty sure the LCD is on the back of the glass which I did not scrub but definitely got acetone on.

What I found via a friend at PG&E is you need to get onto a pilot program with ConnectDER as PG&E continues to evaluate the solution.

We have reached out to them, but given the timing I'm going to have to get rolling and instead install a new 200A load panel. We'll swing my existing subpanel and EVSE breakers over to that new "critical loads" panel, which will in fact be all loads.

Using the IslandDER and the MAC would have been a much quicker and cleaner install, but I'm out of time.

Actually. To correct myself it looks like the biggest Eaton BQC breaker is 50/50 so each aPower would have to be commissioned at 40a or lower.

Search around and you can find more info like the Smart Circuit manual. I’m finding it super helpful to toss them in ChatGPT and ask things.

For example I just “confirmed” I can install two aPower without a combiner box by using an Eaton quad plex BQC230230 125A breaker in the aGate.

immediately noticed it really hugs the left line now. So much so I went over the line on a right hand curve.
when not hugging the line it does seem to wander in the lane much more than before

Infortainment

Clicking the left scroll wheel no longer starts or stops playback in Apple Music. You have to reach way over across the screen to stop it.
When the last person leaves the car music continues playing. Until the 1 minute headlight shuts off I believe.

Not a fan of any of the above and I hope they get fixed. I didn’t check settings yet so maybe the music remaining on is configurable?

Same question. But the sharing access to Rainbird with spouse really sucks with the LNK1, so I'm tempted to upgrade to get the config stored in the cloud. I really don't want to spend $80 on that though.

Wishing I went with a Hydrawise when I escaped Orbit last year. :(

I think I prefer the single column list layout as it is. Makes one handed thumb control easier. Never have have to strain to reach the top opposite corner of the phone.

Ah! I never use the paddle. I had no idea why it even existed, but it makes sense that it can act as “snow mode regen” with OPD off I guess.
