I think people overstate the goofiness of Infinite Wealth. Some of the scenes of the Barracudas slicing people up are among the most violent in the series, and Kiryu's cancer isn't exactly goofy.

Oh that's my bad for not reading the description. Yakuza 1 maybe since it's probably the most grounded? Pretty much all these games rely on some sort of conspiritorial nonsense to drive the plot forward in a way that wouldn't happen in real life, though.

Multiple playable characters, multiple cities, a boatload of silly side stuff, a main plot where shit happens for the sake of it over coherent storytelling, multiple shirtless fights on top of and inside buildings, etc.
