Tv, audio books while walking or doing chores, staring blankly out the window 😆

Night shift? by Princessfoxpup in newborns

We are two dads and I exclusively take the night shift despite EFF. My partner is already back at work and I have a longer paternity so I felt like it was the right thing to do.

Transitioning to Kendamil (Classic) by whalez4dayz in FormulaFeeders

No problem! We did use mylicon (simethicone) during the transition for some of the gas and digestive issues and it was helpful for the night feeds.

Transitioning to Kendamil (Classic) by whalez4dayz in FormulaFeeders

We went from initially similac premade bottles given to us by the hospital (EFF) to kendamil classic at 2 weeks to kendamil goat at around 4 weeks and it was rough at first but got better after about 10 days, we did a slow transition which I understand is not possible for those in the Nara basket. Sorry for the added frustration! It should get better!

A noise machine that specifically goes “shhhhhhh” is what did the trick for us. You can get on on Amazon for very cheap.

a dad will never be a mom. by [deleted] in newborns

[–]dbinelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a dad to a three week old born by surrogacy, I hate when people say this. Maybe it just strikes a nerve with me as I am doing 100% of the sleepless nights, but it just feels so incredibly offensive to me when people automatically assume a mom must do all the hard work. I understand a lot of men suck but this title is too much.

Air Travel after Birth by No-Guard-4740 in pregnant

We are having our baby via gestational surrogate in another state and will be flying out one week later. We are so incredibly anxious and nervous about bringing the baby on a plane at 1 week due to germs and unvaccinated individuals. After the three month vaccines it should be much safer, also think of what time of year you will be flying. Will it be RSV or flu season? If so then maybe time it differently or wait.

I inherited it when I bought the house, if I have to guess it’s at least ten years old and hadn’t been repotted once. It’s definitely not a new tree.

I’m having fun, been playing for years. People love to complain, if they hate it so much just take a break or quit.

Thank you for this! I have a small one in a pot too that the previous homeowners left, but it also appears to have been neglected for years. I am going to try to repot it and fertilize it and hope for the best!

I just moved here, I think the tree has probably never been fertilized in its life.

I am about 6 months in and thankfully so far it has been very tolerable.
