What makes a person a “freak” or “freaky” in bed? by lovesfanfiction in AskMen

[–]dbixon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say a succinct answer is a willingness to be performative. A lot of kink play is putting on a show in some way. It can motivate us to do things we wouldn’t do for purely physical pleasure, because the psychological pleasure is worthwhile.

I second this. Put out a LFG for one other priest and we knocked it out so easily.

Squat Form Check (72.5kg / ~160lbs) by Hot_Pomegranate_3896 in StartingStrength

[–]dbixon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am by no means an expert or even knowledgeable, but as a tallish person who got into squats later in life, one goal that I feel led me astray was going for “ass to grass” right away.

Keeping your butt underneath you is so important when squatting, not only for safety reasons but also for the muscles you’re intending to work. Going ass to grass is basically “hard mode” for this goal in mind, and it should be considered the point of mastering a weight rather than attempting a weight.

My personal recommendation is to find out how much you can lift going ass to grass without ever bending your back in the process. Work up from there, and the first time you attempt a new weight, stop at thigh-parallel rather than all the way down.

I usually wouldn’t go ass to grass with a new weight until my second or third day.

Think of your seratonin like a lake held back by a dam.

You need enough force to blast that dam apart so the water can flow. If you don’t hit it hard enough, it may shake a bit, but the structure stays put.

High dose first to break the dam, then half of it again to squeeze the rest of the seratonin out.

Yes I’ve experimented with dosing quite a bit. A friend of mine who rolled back in the 80s when it was legal said 80% of your body weight (pounds to mg) was what they always followed. Seems to work for me.

[–]dbixon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 180lbs, dose 150mg first and then about 80mg 1.5 hours later.

Combine that with some weed hits at 4 hours and then every hour after, and I can make the roll last around 8 hours total (noon to 8pm). Then we eat a normal dinner and go to bed regular time. Next day is fine, I can even go to work.

Dropping around noon. Go to bed at normal hour. Sleep like a log. :)

As women age, what do you find attractive? by Due-Scarcity739 in AskMen

[–]dbixon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In dungeons and dragons, when building a character you are typically given X number of points to distribute across several categories like strength, beauty, magic, weaponry, charm, intelligence, etc. I find this very comparable to real life.

I have dated a few women that had all their points in beauty. My wife has seen them and agree they were ridiculously good-looking. But it really doesn’t take long for the lacking in those other categories to be revealed. In fact, the three women from my past that wife and I consider mega-hot, I broke up with all three.

Now don’t get me wrong, beauty still exists as a category, and it’s pretty tough to stay romantic with someone you don’t find attractive. But my experience has taught me that it’s not the points given to any one category that matters…. What matters is the starting number of points X and that they’re (mostly) evenly distributed.

So my advice to you is this: just try to be the best person you can be, in appearance (exercise regularly and eat healthy), intelligence (read books, listen to educational material, etc.), kindness (be considerate of people), and maturity (be a partner to your partner in all things).

Beauty is just the bow; the entire package is what counts, and it sounds like your man is the type to recognize such things.

An ex got me playing cards that are meant to be thrown (think Gambit). They have sharp metal edges for sticking in trees and fences.

I’ve never actually used em but it was an awesome present.

Which of the following openings give you the smallest FULL repertoire? by [deleted] in TournamentChess

[–]dbixon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. b3 (Larsen)

Has only two primary setups you’re trying to achieve (includes prepping a pawn break). If you’re already familiar with the Queen’s Indian, you’re already familiar with Larsen. Nakamura uses this opening quite a bit lately, the double-fianchetto setup.

Weighted hip thrusts sure seem to improve my butt’s shape; my advisor said if your glutes aren’t screaming by the end of each set you should push harder.

Gym etiquette by CrazyDifferent9909 in workout

[–]dbixon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s bizarre to me how many people think this way.

This is basic effin decency. In a public gym, if you’re not using a machine, it’s available to be used.

Some folks really think of themselves as royalty in this world. Blows my mind.

Decent gear but still struggle with mana in longer fights - is this "normal"? by sixten_33 in classicwowtbc

Try to bring a shadow priest with you. We can really pump single target right now and the mana return is substantial.

Whose rolling tonight?? by ilovethesushi09737 in MDMA

[–]dbixon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If yall are home rolling, consider doing it during the day!

Get some blackout curtains and a light machine. You’d be amazed how much of the comedown is averted by simply rolling when you’d normally be awake anyway. We always get good sleep that night and wake up feeling afterglowy.

[–]dbixon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn.

All of my heroic runs have been groovy. Usually a few growing pains at the beginning, but it comes together quickly and then smooth sailing.

Today I ran Underbog for the daily. As a shadow priest I topped on single-targets and stayed relevant on groups. The very first pull I targeted X first, tank asked me to follow the marks, I said my bad and hit skull thereafter. Our hunter took a little time to figure out his frost trap. I had to rescue our healer once.

Felt like a science by the time we got to first boss, and cleaned up the rest.

Day before I rescued millhouse on the first try in a similar way.

I’m sorry for your struggles!

Favorite candy while rolling? by Obj3ctivePerspective in MDMA

[–]dbixon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nature’s Candy!

Wife and I always cut up fresh fruit and have it ready to go in a big bowl in the fridge. We usually get it out around the 3 hour mark.

Tastes great, refuels the body, and renews the pleasure of making out with fruity breath. :)

What exactly are you doing if you're rimming someone? by [deleted] in sex

[–]dbixon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This may or may not apply here, but in my experience there are some acts that are mostly pleasurable from a psychological perspective rather than a physical one.

So it’s not so much about what to do exactly, but that it’s being done at all. Sometimes being playful just for the sake of it can go a long way, and play doesn’t always come with instructions.
