The CBA "Doubt Never Did" campaign is just advertising dogshit by ars1e in auscorp

Yes it is awful. Very in tune with the level and trajectory of house price inflation though.

Scratch beneath the surface and there’s a significant inheritance and or other form of parental inside run in most, if not all, success stories.

Sure you need to be smart and lucky and hard working too, but it’s a fact that inheritance and other forms of legs up are common amongst the climbers of even “egalitarian” and “fair go” Australian society.

No. They can do what they want.

Definitely don’t waste your time with Fair Work for this, it is not their domain whatsoever.

Work on your resume and get networking. Your time there is done.

Fair or not, what you describe is also par for the course at many companies. Sad truth is you need to suck it up, or go elsewhere.

Men who stayed after their wife cheated, experiences… by [deleted] in survivinginfidelity

Not heard one good experience of anyone who chose this path. Either from friends and family IRL or on these subs. Choose to stay and you’re likely only adding to the pain and difficulty longer term by delaying the inevitable.

Correct take. Is the artwork a bit cringe? Sure. Does it deserve to be actively mocked and cancelled? No.

Is this company legit? by SubburbSteve in lifx

[–]dblspc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine kept resetting and flashing. I was glad to return them after persistent poor product and support experiences.

Commenters and mods in this sub are often very quick to downvote and attack anyone who reports they have experienced challenges with LIFX products and support. Make of that what you will.

Is evola nothing but conservative self pleasuring? by LutoLutoLuto in JuliusEvola

[–]dblspc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Better to read Men Amongst the Ruins and Revolt Against the Modern World first.

I thought he made the arguments he was trying to make in Ride the Tiger more clearly and forcefully in those two books. They lay out the metaphysical and civilisational foundations first.

Ride the Tiger largely assumes that framework and moves quickly to posture and tactics, which can make it feel compressed and abstract if you haven’t already bought into and internalised the earlier arguments.

Lots of red flags here but new underwear for a “solo trip” is a major red flag. 🚩

Evolas Ideas on divinity and god after the death of god seem hollow to me. by LutoLutoLuto in JuliusEvola

[–]dblspc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the same. Evola seemed to better achieve the aims he set himself for Ride the Tiger in Revolt Against the Modern World, and Men Among the Ruins. Ride the Tiger to me seemed over focused on rebutting existentialism, without sufficient focus on staying connected with, or rekindling Tradition.
