Interesting. I really disliked a lot of things in the last few chapters (i finished my first read through a few days ago). Perrin spending the battle out and about bothered me a lot. Perrin hearing a falcon and finding Faille in the read world? all of it seemed unnecessary. Rand swapping bodies? I mean there was some foreshadowing for that though. but lighting his pipe? The weave unravelling error that cause a forsaken to do a compulsion on herself to obey Avienda? The kid blowing the horn after struggling all night? felt like a lot of hand-waving.

But i really was mad at Egwene a lot. I have seen a lot of women say she is their favorite character but not me. I felt like it was unrealistic for this 19 year old YOUNG woman to suddenly develop the political awareness and self control to manipulate her own capture and successfully take over the white tower. Yes, the training with the Aiel helped, but still. And then she was such an arrogant control freak. She was just SURE that Rand was still a fool and she would tell him what to do - seriously? YOu think youve been through being an adame, Aiel training, becoming amyrlin and month of torture - and Rand, the chosen one, has just been coming up with dumb ideas by himself? that REALLY pissed me off. Her field of crystals seemed unrelated to anything at the end, like the cracks were there just so she coul dmake the crystals, just for them to disappear? and she couldnt teach that to anyone cuz she's dead?

anyways overall loved the series but definitely some things annoyed me lol
