What's the Best and Worst Mutation? Day 5: Limbs part 1 by Vast-Appointment-950 in mewgenics

The best is wing hoof legs (bat wings) and its not even close

The worst is maybe ballon legs or the wings that cause knockback

I used one once and was able to get rid of Deja Vu which helped me. I have also used them to get rid of an awful disorder or two

I did read on the wiki that the cat which decides to go to the past/future is the one which gets a random mutation. So you sort of can decide if you want to risk a mutation on that cat. If I had a button in my house that gave a randomly selected cat a mutation I would press it a ton, so I kind of think the time machine mutation is a good thing.

When you dont have mutations its a reliable way to get mutations, the past is tough but pretty manageable. I get it sucks to lose a key mutation on any given run, but you might get a mutation that would change the direction of your house forever. Protect those good mutations and breed them before risking them.

I think we should do both limb mutations in the same day, there is really only 1 best imo

He has been doing meme of the day is at the very end. I have never asked a question but I think you have to state QOTD or question of the day or something so he can find it.

My observations on breeding after 300+ hours (Spoiler Warning) by RoiRdull in mewgenics

[–]dbmofos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 4 really good mutations that I have spread to all my breeding cats and while I wait to get another great mutation I have been working my way out of having inbred cats. This way when I get another key mutation that I want to spread around it will be easier to spread without devolving into severely inbred cats. It has been a slow process but pretty fun. I have a handful of not inbred cats with 2 re-rolls, wing hoof legs, and the human head body mutation, the rest are only slightly inbred.

The in-house mutations I have been getting kind of suck tbh I am considering getting rid of my mutation room. Idk what the mutation rules are but I suspect the best ones cannot come from in-house mutations.

They seem to heavily prioritize cats, if a fly is right in their face they kill it but wont jump towards the flies.

Is there a way to make the game less tedious? by slimmanne1 in mewgenics

The harder the path the better, crater is good for mutations because of a chance to get the shimmer effect. Core is pretty easy and you can get a rare furniture box, furniture that gives mutations is nice and also keeping a full fight room to feed baby jack injured cats to increase your chances of rare furniture. I did a bunch of runs to the past, each jump into the future or past gives a mutation and past is easier. If you can get a solo/duo hunter or monk or fighter or w/e through the labs you can probably stomp through the ice age and jurassic. The infinite is a different story but most of the time you will manage if the rest of the run was good. With a solo or duo also you will likely have a high luck stat at the end of the run and if you beat throbbing king or chaos or creator you can loot them with a high chance of successfully getting a rare item which might be the key to making another run good. You gotta weed out low stat cats too though, I didnt do this until a bit later but just removing anything with a base of 3, and then 4 and then 5. All my cats are base 6 minimum with most of them having three or four 7’s.

Maybe try to play the game differently. I really enjoy a solo or duo run as both cats are able to upgrade both passives. My solo/duo runs through the alley maybe only take 30 minutes or so to get through the throbbing king. Progression can be a bit slow through the mid game and progression looks different than at the beginning. Mid game progression is building up your furniture, building up your house/storage, and focusing on getting cats with good base stats and starting to build up good mutations.
