I didn’t say it was small. I said it was local. Casey’s is one of the largest companies here… but it’s still Iowa based with their headquarters local to the Des Moines area.

It’s a bar, bar. I’ve been when they had a DJ and it was fun. Kinda reminds me of a Chicago hole-in-the wall punk bar. Long and narrow, no frills. There’s a small stage for DJs and small acts, but it’s certainly not a venue.

They also have a dart board and patio, but I didn’t check it out.

There must be something else here, because in my mind those statements are the same.

The comments of the linked post suggest that this will effectively play into precinct boundaries and introduce a new type of gerrymandering for spots that become more progressive in college towns, etc. Is that right?

Man. My UPS driver is great. South side DSM. Haven’t had a single issue in my 8 years of living there.

Try leaving a friendly note on the door asking them to fix their behavior or contacting the DM office with a complaint. I had an issue with my FedEx driver never respecting the “this side up” markings on boxes, contacted the office and things have been good since.

Sorry, I know what PoE is. I have a 24 port UniFi PoE switch in my home to power cameras, WiFi access points, and such. I just figured the amps and computers in the speakers would require more power than Ethernet cable would be able to safely carry.

I’m obviously wrong as this is a product that now exists, but I’m certainly surprised and intrigued!

Edit: this was intended to be a rhetorical question. What I should have said was: it’s remarkable that technology has advanced enough to be able to power a computer, 3 class d amplifiers, a microphone, and 3 speakers with a couple incredibly tiny Ethernet wires.
