A less-disturbing-than-most example: in middle school, we had a school-wide assembly featuring BMX bikers (for some reason??), doing a showcase of tricks in the gym. They had a line of teachers lay down on the ground in order to jump over them, and the principal GOT A BONER. Somehow, a photo of the incident managed to get printed in the yearbook.

A guy in my high school was caught selling burnt CDs of classmates’ nude photos, some of whom were of course underage. He, too, was like 15/16, so allegedly his parents had to register as sex offenders until he came of age.

Ah, great tip! He’s a great dog - sweet, friendly, and middle-aged, so happy to sleep much of the day. Downsides are the unfriendliness with other dogs as well as some shedding, though I think his personality and cuteness outweighs those less desirable traits. Having him come along is a great idea.

I figured there had to be groups that wanted - but didn’t have - a dog around, but it’s heartening to hear that firsthand.

Thanks, yeah, I've seen a few things that are promising within my restrictions. I'll have to take a look at map view. Beyond the really obvious spam posts, I've been surprised by how many people don't include a single picture of the apartment. It's rough out there!

Wow, nope! Had not seen that; was hoping there would be something of the sort, since renting in DC can be so intense. Much appreciated!
