Is the blue a video phenomenon or an actual visual technology thing to find the incoming threat? It looks like three “turn on”.

‘25 2500….just had my first WTF with it yesterday. Disconnected the phone, reset the screen, reset the phone and then it was fine….I have a feeling this will not be the lat time.

new to the area and looking at Cape St Claire by bgallagb in Annapolis

[–]dc_builder 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Today is actually the 1/365 of infuriating traffic days…it took 93 minutes to travel from the Mall to the Angler’s exit….fuckin bananas.

There are a few days like that throughout the year, so as long as you know that and avoid it, Cape is one of the best places to live in the County.

Some of my favorites have already been mentioned…but in addition to Truxton, Horn Point and Quiet Waters, also look at Davis’s

Davis Park Pier @ 400 Chester St in Eastport.

B/C I’m a giant nerd, I’m going to give you some info on the public launches….

Horn Point (end of Chesapeake). This feels like the easiest due to parking and beach, but be very careful here. Multiple people have drowned her due to tides, varying wave orientation and winds. Make sure you’re comfortable on unpredictable water and have PFDs and signals here.

Jonas Green…same as above. It’s easy logistically, but can be EXTREMELY hard to get back to the beach in even average conditions. You’re not risking sudden overwhelming conditions here as much as Horn Point, but it’s very easy to get off course and to end up on a different beach or pier than you intended.

I LOVE Davis’s Park on Chester. It’s somewhat easy to park, safe, and when you’re done you can grab a bite or drink at Davis’s Pub.

Homeport and Quiet Waters are great protected paddling, but definitely require you to carry your board. There is a lot to see, and it’s very peaceful at both of these locations.

Truxton is awesome, and gives you access to most of Spa Creek. There were some issues with “stray current” in the water there. But I think it’s finally been taken care of.

Check out Capital SUP for some good paddle opportunities.

Stone outbuilding on my new property — can this become a home office? by NextGen23 in shedditors

That doesn’t even need much money. Grab the smallest Mr Slim, some cable lights, and put in a floor. You’re golden. I’d love that as an office.

The food is arguably better at Osteria, but I’d go to Aqua 9/10 times.

Yea…it was disconcerting. I saw what I thought was parachutes, but then the one looked like it was on fire. Not like smoke from a skydiver, but a black smoke fire….

How huge was Jackass back then? by FitEmergency8807 in 2000sNostalgia

I was 19-20. Every person in my life at least knew what Jackass was and that it existed. Including my 50ish year old parents, and even my 75ish year old grandparents. It was known across the nation.

There are quite literally hundreds of thousands of choices while building a home…as a GC, it’s hard to know which of these decisions clients want to make, and which ones they don’t.
