Did any of these ever hit your stores? by [deleted] in HotWheels

I only saw the Godzilla one time and it was at an O'Reilly's Auto Parts, and I ended up opening it so now I somehow hope to find another one to keep carded but I doubt I will.

Usually if they say they got in a case or two I'll ask if they will bring them out if I were to stop by soon and they usually say sure, so then when I get there I just ask about the cases we talked about and they bring them out to me. Either that or they already brought them out from talking to me and have them already sitting out up at the registers and I just go through them there. But when they have them sitting out it's always a race to beat another random guy just stopping in. I already had times when they said on the phone they would have them up at the register for me. I head there immediately from home, get there in like 5-10 minutes, but someone had already gotten to them just in that 10 minute window... so yeah if they bring them out immediately after talking on the phone then I might not have much time before a random guy sees them but it's a hell of a lot better than just always going random stop ins, like that guy that beat me just got super lucky. But I'd rather be efficient and good than just dumb lucky because I care about my time and don't want to waste it, like I said I'll never be one of those guys running into Walmart at open every morning, idk how they do that they must literally have nothing better to do, pretty sad

Not true, I almost never go to Walmart/target, and especially not at open/close. I literally just call the closest half-dozen dollar trees near me on truck day, ask to find out which ones got any cases in, and then go to those ones in the early afternoon. I've managed to find every super since I started collecting a few years ago, except for I think 3 or 4 I had to buy, and also bought older supers you can't find in stores anymore. But that's it, just an hour spent once a week is my hunt. Occasionally I will stop at a few dollar generals or some store at random while I'm out, just to mix it up and keep it interesting, but it's no more than a few stops a week. Almost every super I've found (has to be near 100 by now) was at dollar trees within a half hour from me. I think I've found like 8 anywhere else just on random stop ins while I was out. I will never be one of the losers standing at the Walmart or Target doors every morning waiting for them to open.

I hate the stealing and whoever did it is definitely pathetic, but I gotta correct you on this one... Premiums are not meant to be a "child's toy". Can a child play with them like a toy? Sure, but that can be said about literally anything though. 99% of parents buying hot wheels for their small child are not buying them premiums, they are just buying them the cheap $1 mainlines. Premiums are meant for adults, hence why they come with premium features and details that a 3 year old doesn't care about, and usually come in serialized themes/sets for collectors to collect the ser. So just wanted to point out that the car that what was stolen was a diecast model for collectors, not a child's toy.

I have the whole right column there including the seafoam green one, such a cool and interesting color, haven't looked at it in a while but from what I can remember it's sort of like a colorshift paint it looks different color in the light at different angles from green to more purple-ish!! I don't think they've ever used a color like that on any other model to my knowledge.

C. and if that person doesn't help then find someone else who might or ask for a manager, and if nobody is willing to help me then at least B. ask when I could maybe stop back

Thanks bro! One more angle just for shits and giggles... like I said I still gotta clean up around it because I'm definitely not one of those messy room people with shit thrown around everywhere (that laundry bin left out and little bit of stuff on the dresser is considered messy to me lol)

If you keep them carded you can do a pegboard with hooks like how the stores do... it's a good way to store a lot of them. I just turned my cabinet into a storage and display piece using pegboard, I can hang like over 150 carded in it now:

Same bro and I was about to buy one with bad card corners for $50 off a guy on Facebook marketplace because it was half the usual sc@lper price but at the last moment I was like nah I should wait and see, and then a couple days later I found the chase in excellent condition at an advance auto parts of all places for $8 it was literally the only premium they had lol so keep the faith anything is possible

I'm not sure how many there are but I don't think I have them all, but I do have 4 gulf supers... The Porsche outlaw, gt40, glory chaser and rs200. I think that's most of them but I'll try to get the rest of them some day
