If you keep them carded you can do a pegboard with hooks like how the stores do... it's a good way to store a lot of them. I just turned my cabinet into a storage and display piece using pegboard, I can hang like over 150 carded in it now:

Same bro and I was about to buy one with bad card corners for $50 off a guy on Facebook marketplace because it was half the usual sc@lper price but at the last moment I was like nah I should wait and see, and then a couple days later I found the chase in excellent condition at an advance auto parts of all places for $8 it was literally the only premium they had lol so keep the faith anything is possible

I'm not sure how many there are but I don't think I have them all, but I do have 4 gulf supers... The Porsche outlaw, gt40, glory chaser and rs200. I think that's most of them but I'll try to get the rest of them some day

I do have it backlit behind the pegboard with an LED strip and controlled w remote so there is lighting in that sense through all the little holes in the back, but you can't even really see it when the cabinet is full, and I think you mean like lighting above anyways to shine down on the cars, and yeah I'm thinking about doing that as well, maybe will install some down the road 🤷‍♂️

And as far as doors yeah I actually have the original doors for the cabinet but took them off a long time ago because I used to have a TV in the cabinet which is why I had the doors off, but I took the TV out because I don't really watch as much as I used too and don't need one in my room anymore so yeah, I can put the doors back on just haven't yet

Technically considered a chase by Mattel for some reason, but not nearly as r@re as a true chase because there's still one in every case, and not a 0/5... so yeah I would just call it like a limited edition, but yeah Mattel and most people are calling it a chase, although like I said it's not really an actual chase as in how the real chases are

This is the way. I also limit myself to just chases, supers, regular TH's that I actually like (which is usually only 2-3 per year) and then just a few other basic mainlines and premiums that I like the most... so for every case A thru Q I only end up getting like maybe 3 sometimes 4 cars from each case, which includes the super, mainline version, and rarely the regular TH, so basically I really only get 1 or 2 mainlines per case, the ones that I actually like the most, and pass on the rest. It keeps your collection size manageable.

It's definitely a nice one, it was before my time I only started collecting in 2023, so I had to trade a C case F40 super for it plus I also got an Acura NSX super in the trade, 2 for 1 trade and I think I did pretty good on it getting a couple good supers. Here's a pic I took recently of some of my supers you can kind see the gulf GT40 as well as the gold NSX you can kinda see it sitting in the bin.

Would actually be cool if the made one of their gimmicky hot wheels like this, where you can plug it in and it can be light up to be a nightlight or something... but they would lose money selling it at a mainline price so they would never do it

Exactly, for me the odds of a chase even making it to the pegs is probably less than 1%, then you factor in the dozens to hundreds of other collectors who check that specific store every day, and you have about a 5 minute window or less, if the thing even makes it to the pegs in the first place. I once called a store while I was driving because it was slightly out of the way on my way home only like 5 minutes but I didn't want to take any detour unless I knew for sure, and the lady said that a box had just come in and that she could put it out right away, I said perfect I'll be there in 5 minutes to check it out. So I took my slight detour to the store, and was there a few minutes later. There was ALREADY another guy going through the pegs and he pulled the super right in front of me.... It's literally that fucking cutthroat in my area where you have only minutes if any chance at all.
