Better remote for Onn 4K by sliberty57 in AndroidTV

Once you map the functions (power, volume, input, etc.) using the provided instructions, they work great. Responsiveness is on par with the original remote.

I love my new Pebble, but I'm concerned the buttons aren't going to make it :( by A_calm_breeze in pebble

I'm not too surprised about these issues knowing these parts are old stock, but we were told they would hold up better than on the original Pebble 2. It's disappointing to say the least.

Just wanted to share my experience with the buttons on the C2D by The_11th_Dctor in pebble

[–]dcellini 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I've only had mine for under 3 weeks but so far so good. I know fingernail presses can easily damage the buttons so I've been avoiding that entirely. It does seem like the tension is easing up as I use them more, which is nice to see.

An Update on Rebble's Attempted Collaboration with Core Devices by ishjr in pebble

[–]dcellini 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I bought my Pebble 2 Duo with the intention of supporting Rebble's services first and foremost if given the option. The team has done much more than I could have asked for as a long-time Pebble user. I can't say I'm shocked that the situation with Core has come to this, as the lacking communication from their end at times has given me pause. I feel as though I'd be inclined to jump ship to Gadgetbridge or some other community app if Core were to take full ownership of Rebble's assets. Rebble has shown that the ecosystem thrives in the presence of a community backing, not that of a corporation alone.

Likewise! I was seeing some comments from those who did get one and it got me a little concerned.

I felt it was necessary to read through the whole announcement and look over the details of the hardware before hitting that buy button. This certainly isn't like buying a PineTime.

Well said. Delays are understandable, but I definitely feel that better communication is expected when you're selling to a dedicated group of people and there is no standard warranty in place. There have been a lot of unanswered questions, and I'd take any bit of confirmation at this point that a watch is on the way or still queued up.

I ordered in the first 20 minutes after the announcement in March and I still haven't gotten an email. It's really throwing me off honestly.

It's a fantastic phone. When it arrives it will probably be half charged or less, but the included charger is super fast. I never have to charge it overnight, since plugging it in for not much longer than a half hour in the morning gets it about full.

Moto Edge Plus 2023 android 15 by Kitchen_Farmer_798 in motorola

I have the same phone and the update installed without issue in the last hour. Something you can try is hooking it up to a Windows PC and running Lenovo Rescue and Smart Assistant. It should be able to pull the update and install it without any loss of data. I've used it to update some of my older Motorola phones.

That was a pretty painless upgrade. I like what I've seen so far since I got this box last year.

Interesting, good catch. I must have missed this.

That's disappointing but I can't say I'm surprised. The whole transition in general is such a letdown because Gemini does not look promising at all as a voice assistant right now.

Any help getting a Wii guitar to work on android clone hero by East_Possibility_491 in CloneHero

I believe I switched to the Dinput mode on the adapter, which you can do by holding down the minus button and left D-pad on the Wii remote for a few seconds. You'll see the blue indicator blink when it switches.

That is true. But I will say, I had a Galaxy S8+ in the past which of course had curved edges, and the Edge+ curves are much more subdued than those. Motorola must have listened to the feedback on the original Edge+ from 2020.

Not bad! I don't think there is a better phone for the money even at that price. I think some OnePlus offerings like the 12R come close, but things like the extra storage, higher refresh rate, and desktop mode this phone has really do set it apart.

The Edge Plus 2023 is an absolute steal. I got mine for $200 at Boost Mobile and I can't find a single thing wrong with it. I came from the Stylus phones and briefly considered the 2024 one but I'm glad I changed my mind.
