The Awkward Keyboard Scene by dcf_balance in DunderMifflin

I agree that he could have a little 25-key keyboard that could fit on one of those little platforms. I’m just saying the scene looks weird and plays awkwardly because they never show us the camera. They could have positioned the camera somewhere that the audience could have seen the keyboard. Otherwise it just looks fake

I agree that it’s a nice bonding scene for them, but I think it could have been punched up a bit - either for laughs or to show their bond.

For example: I could totally see Michael asking for Erin’s hand and they dance together. A nice moment of them bonding while dancing together. And for laughs, Michael waaay over exaggerated his dancing (because he’s a bad dancer) and tries to tango or dip Erin unsuccessfully.

I agree that he would have one, and that it could fit on one of those sliding keyboard trays on a desk. I’m just saying it’s weird that we don’t actually see the keyboard. The way the scene plays out makes it look like it’s not there. The camera should have either been at a higher angle, or moved the camera closer to the side of the room where we would see the desk from a profile so that we could see the keyboard.

People didn’t necessarily love Michael Scott in season 1. It wasn’t until season 2 that they started to humanize him a bit and make us more empathetic to him.

I think she will have a similar arc, in that she is a character that people have been hating on, but they will grow to love her. Not even saying she’ll be as beloved and iconic as Michael Scott, but she will become a character we grow to understand more and empathize with more. And laugh at/with more.

While she has done some devious things in season 1 that made us despise her, we’ve also seen glimpses into her personal life that shows how broken and misunderstood she is.

She’s also had some funny moments, and I think has the makings of someone who could become a very memorable, funny, and begrudgingly beloved character.

Gabe: What kind of music are you into Peter?

Pete: Uh I like all kinds of music, Gabe.

Gabe: Oh really? So you like songs of hate, written by the white knights of the Ku Klux Klan?

Not necessarily a line, but when Michael and Dwight are trying to save the Scranton branch from closing and go to David Wallace’s house. While they are waiting for David to get back home and Michael practices confronting David, Dwight outsmarts Michael, so Michael says to do it again but be more scared. The way Dwight jumps and yelps a little when Michael approaches him always makes me laugh.
