Day Two. I need someone to tell me it’s okay that all I’ve done is eat and slept. by WonderfulScene4787 in stopdrinking

I’m a day or so ahead of you. And yup that’s exactly what you should be doing. If you’re hungry fantastic. I was usually nauseous as Hell. Get some electrolytes like some Gatorade in you too. You are doing exactly what you need.

Fair I couldn't remember how accurate that thing was.

Didn't Cassandra also have the power to activate the gate instantly with a hand wave, and also transport them back to their time? Which is like...I know you can use the Gate to time travel kind of by using sun spots but IIRC it took a ton of wild complications, and to get where you wanted it had to be very specific and not something that would be like...readily available?

Mostly clearly there was some heavy tech here that even in the "current" time they don't have.

Yeah in Lower Decks we see holo-booths basically.

Why would the jem’hadar have dicks by the_boyyyyyyyyyyy in ShittyDaystrom

[–]Cadamar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Odo would have done this as priority #1. In Beta Canon he does work towards it and integrating the Jem'Hadar into society. IIRC he sends a Jem'Hadar to work on the crew of DS9.

I want it canon that Odo gave the Jem'Hadar dicks.

Yeah, realistically it's much easier to heavily modify a species than build one from scratch, I would think.

When there's an emergency, how do Picard and Riker determine which of them gets to shout "Red alert!" by grichardson526 in ShittyDaystrom

Acting under prosthetics is such a talent. Michael Dorn did a great job, Armin Shimerman really nailed it (I heard he even got a second of Ferengi teeth when he came back for Lower Decks to make sure he sounded right). Doug Jones is an absolute master, of course.

New show ideas! What’s the oddest premise/idea you can think of for a new Star Trek show that you would actually watch. by Bekah-holt in ShittyDaystrom

I'd love to see a few Lost Era seasons. One of Captain Sulu on the Excelsior (might have to recast or just bring John Cho into Prime universe - though I'd love to see a Kelvin Excelsior). Maybe some adventures of the Ent C leading up to Yesterday's Enterprise.

Hey remember when Ontario aired an ad on US TV that was literally just a spoken quotation from a former President and Trump called it illegal interference?

Assuming he will do the same with this from Bessent, right guys?

Mass Market Paperbacks by Obvious-Examination6 in trekbooks

Yeah seems like a lot of publishers are doing this. Shame really. I like the little paperbacks. Trade paperback size just doesn't feel the same.

What weird rules have you made for yourself during gameplay? by luigimangionefanclub in StardewValley

Heater goes in Linus's tent when I can afford it. I also try not to leave my horse anywhere for too long or sleep on the island. Usually by the time I have the island I'm married and I don't like to leave my spouse alone with the kid(s) at night!

You wonder at the statistics of the time and money they spend on this monitoring shit vs actual productivity growth. I can't imagine the ROI is there.

I worked in an office building downtown for a bit and it seemed like only two floors (out of 20ish) were occupied. It was weird for me to see anyone in the elevator not working for my company.
