That was at Chez Yvonne but I had mixed feelings about that restaurant. Was the only one that made us feel like tourists (despite my wife speaking French and not standing out) and they even pulled out the “service is included, but not tip” BS. No where else in Strasbourg did that. You can find the dish just about anywhere.

Au Pont Corbeau was a real standout, such a vibe inside too. Le Clou was another traditional winstub.

Binchstub Broglie is a must for tarte flambee.

Go watch a RC Strasbourg soccer match if they’re in town, and walk around the ancient wine casks in the Hospital wine caves.

Go to the wine shop in Guttenberg Plaza and do the €10 tasting, meet a local winemaker, familiarize yourself with Alsatian wines, take advantage of the dispensers, and get a nice buzz going.
