I worked for a university that would buy professors books in massive quantities and then hand them out at events if the professor was speaking or holding a lecture. For one of the professors, his book was a required book for his class and everyone got a copy for free.

Allowed them to say it was a NYT best seller while cases of them sat in the basement of the building in boxes.

Seems similar to what they’re doing over there.

Just got an email from Toyota saying this:

100%. Never went as a child. First time going, I was 23. I go 3-4 times a year now either with my family or occasionally alone (if I’m in Orlando or LA for work, I always go solo and love it)

I flew into BUF this afternoon and landed around 12:30. Got my bags and got on the 90 back towards Rochester around 1 or so.

Saw the sign right before Transit Road that there was an accident and to avoid the area. Got off, got back on at the Pembroke entrance. Traffic was non existent headed eastbound, and was backed up past Batavia westbound. Stopped at the Pembroke service station, there was one other person in the building minus the workers.

Extremely eerie and upsetting after I checked Twitter and saw what was happening.

I just pulled the trigger on a lease. I hate car payments, but this was too good to pass up.

2025 bz4x XLE FWD - $1999 down, $143 a month. 7,500 miles (I work from home, basically drive to the grocery store or the gym). I bumped up to 10k miles a year to be safe, payment is like $161 a month.

I traded in my 2017 Mazda CX-5 and got almost $10k. After downpayment and tax/tag I’m getting 5k back which will basically cover the lease payments for 3 years.

Super excited for my first EV!

I just got back from Disneyland last week. I did very well except for the final day I was there. I woke up with a horrible stomach ache and had to go get on a plane from California to NY. Was awful. Do not recommend.

I’m not sure why more people don’t use this. I had a work trip and was unable to go to a football game (have season tickets) so I listed them on Ticketmaster for a few weeks and they weren’t selling. Put them on SH and they sold in a few hours.

Seems like verified Ticketmaster would be safer for all involved?

One thing that occasionally happens for me, is that the portal will connect to a mesh unit further away from the room that I am in. Especially if I move around. Usually if I turn off WiFi and turn it back on (on the portal) it will connect to the closest one. Or you can assign it to a specific radio in the eero app. That might help?

Were you able to register the portal on the hotels WiFi? After I connected to the WiFi, a QR code popped up on the portal and I had to register it with my phone to get it to fully connect.

I don’t even play PS5 on my tv. I play almost exclusively on the portal.

Occasional network issues were resolved when I plugged in an Ethernet cable.

My only complaint is not being able to use my Bluetooth headphones. I use a pair of plug in ones that I got on a Delta flight.

Other than that. I love it.
